Israel needs you now more than ever. The world is turning against us; recent events in the Middle East are throwing us into greater turmoil with our neighbors, even the “friendly” ones with whom we have peace treaties, such as Egypt and Jordan; anti-Israel and anti-Semitic rhetoric is running rampant, reminiscent of pre-Nazi Germany; Islamic Jihad is gaining sympathy throughout the world, and the desire to “wipe Israel off the map” is gaining momentum, even outside the Islamic world. What can this all mean?
“I will go away and return to My place until they acknowledge their guilt and seek My face; In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me. “
Hosea 5:15
We are witnessing the fulfillment of this verse, I believe, in these times. It seems to many that God is far from us, and that He has deserted us, His beloved Israel. But those of us who know the Scripture, and know the Messiah, also know the end of the story; we know that Israel will become completely isolated so that He can show that He is the sole Protector of Israel, and that His Word will not return void. I believe that, in light of this, it is important for the Body of Messiah around the world to come and simply show the Love of Messiah to the people of Israel.
But, you may ask, is Israel safe? Is it safe to come to Israel? My response is twofold: First of all, I believe that as followers of the one and only true God, we must ask ourselves in whom we trust – the true God or fear? Yes, fear is very real and can be crippling, but we either allow it to dictate our lives or choose to trust in God’s sovereignty.
Second, considering the numerous events that have happened around the world recently, such as earthquakes in Japan, the US, Haiti and New Zealand; the deadly flooding in Australia and the Midwest; the mass shootings in Norway, Finland and throughout the US, etc. … one can ask if it’s safe to go anywhere nowadays. Our “safety” is an illusion of control; the only place we can truly be “safe” is wherever the Lord calls us to be.
Israel is a beautiful, magical place – it is a place where you have the rare opportunity to learn and experience history in a unique way. It is a place where one can understand the present as well as the future of the World through God’s eyes. In Israel, the Bible comes alive! After being in Israel, you will never read the Word of God the same way; a good friend of mine concluded his experience in the Land with these words: “ Before coming to Israel, reading the Bible was like watching black and white T.V. Now that I have been there, reading the Bible became like watching colored HD TV.”
There is no better time than NOW to come and display God’s love to His children and a have life changing experience in the Land of Israel. I invite you to make your stand for God, His people, this Land, and His plan of salvation for the world.
In His love and service,
Moran

Shalom Moran! Could you please tell me how to pray for Israel.. Someone had mentioned using the Jewish Calender and using the Psalms but I am not able to find that information…Also, which translation should I be using to study? Blessing from Mn. Debbie
Shalom Moran,
Our (my) prayer is for more believers of the All Mighty of the Bible to comprehend His will over their lives, not just for their salvation and abundant life to obtain, but more so, that they come to sense HaShem’s love and faithfulness not just for them but also for His people the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, David.
The focus of the Bible as to how far I sense, is G_d, His greatness and mercies, His Redemption for His covenant people and all of mankind. Greatest comfort He could ever realize to render man as a whole is to display every revelation of His might, power and authority. In the culmination of time, He will wrap up every doubt and controversies that boggled and vexed people, Jews, Christians and otherwise.
Our prayers are for you and your people as well and while the rest of humanity wrestle with the odds of unbelief and unGodliness, our prayers sure is reaching His throne. HaShem is truly preserving your land and your people. So L_rd Zebaoth, help us all.
