My View On Current Events In Israel…

I have decided to devote this blog entry to the latest developments within Israel with regard to the Israeli – Arab conflict. My goal in writing this blog is not to inflame more negativity on either side, but rather wake up those who believe in and love the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in order to take action regarding to the current situation.

I am greatly concerned by the media’s ability to brainwash peoples’ minds, including believers who love the One and Only true God, yet who allow the world to influence their state of mind, causing them to turn against God and His heart for His people in Israel.

During the past weeks, I devoted my blog entries to God’s unconditional covenant with the Children of Israel, a covenant which included the Land of Israel, and in my future blog entries, I will return to this. However, I would like to address a warning to all those who say that they believe and follow the God of the Bible, to make a choice – Him or the world! We all know that the day is coming when all nations will turn against Israel. Furthermore, in the books of Joel and Zechariah, we see a direct judgment on the nations that have scattered God’s people, divided the Land, and gathered against Jerusalem. It is a very serious judgment, which will end in God Himself fighting these nations; will you choose the nations or God?

“For behold, in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all the nations, and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up My land.” Joel 3:1-2

“Behold, a day is coming for the LORD when the spoil taken from you will be divided among you. For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city will be captured, the houses plundered, the women ravished, and half of the city exiled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city. Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle.” Zechariah 14:1-3

As for the current events, the people of Israel just finished one of the most important seasons on the Jewish calendar called the High Holy Days. It is a season of self-reflection, repentance, and celebration. Tragically, this year the season was damaged by growing efforts of extreme Muslim terror groups to terrorize the people of Israel.

In the south, terror groups within the Gaza Strip once again started launching rockets at the Jewish communities surrounding the Gaza Strip. On the evening of Rosh Hashanah, an Israeli man was killed from rocks that hit his car near Jerusalem. Many think that rocks are not so dangerous, but the reality is that they are very deadly weapons being used by Arab youth who are encouraged to riot by their own leaders.

I find it very interesting that President Abbas said in his latest speech to the UN on September 30, 2015:

“Mr. President, Ladies and Gentlemen, We do not respond to the Israeli occupation’s hatred and brutality with the same. Instead, we are working on spreading the culture of peace and coexistence between our people and in our region, and we are anxious to realize it and to witness the day when all of the people in our region will enjoy peace, security, stability and prosperity. This cannot be achieved with the continuation of the occupation, settlement colonization, the wall, the burning of people, places of worship and homes, the killing youth, children and infants, the burning of crops, and the arrest and detention of people without charge or trial.”

Yet the following day, a group of Hamas terrorists brutally attacked a Jewish family in Samaria, killing the parents in front of their four young children, the oldest of whom was 9! The only reason the terrorists did not murder the children is that one of them was mistakenly shot by the other and they had to flee to seek medical treatment. And then on the evening of Simchat Torah, a Palestinian terrorist attacked a Jewish couple and their baby as they were walking in the Old City of Jerusalem; he killed the husband and another man, and injured the 22-year-old wife as she fled, crying for help with her baby in her arms. It is a horrific shame that none of the Palestinian shop owners in the Old City came to her aid, but just watched her screaming for help. More and more attacks have happened since that “peaceful” speech.

The irony is that those committing the attacks do not differentiate between Arab and Jewish people. For example, near the city of Hebron, a Palestinian man was attacked by mistake as the attackers thought he was Jewish. There are many other cases of Palestinians who have been hurt from their own people throwing rocks…

My brothers and sisters, the list goes on and on, and I am bringing this up because I believe it is important for us to seek the truth, know the truth, and stand according to the truth. I am not saying that Israel is perfect and the fact is that the Israeli Government must stop the senseless attacks by Israeli extremists as well.

I am asking you to pray – pray for a true heart-change, pray for mercy, and grace. I am asking you to choose God and stand for Him and His plan. I am asking you to stand on the truth and share it with others. I also want to encourage you during this time to come to Israel, and show your stance for God to the people of Israel.

Shabbat Shalom,

Moran

  1. Shalom Moran,
Rest assured that thousands of Believers in America fast and pray daily for all of Israel! Many of us are Messianic observing the Jewish feasts and holidays. With the new book Messianic Church Arising by Chuck Pierce & Robert Heidler out, entire churches are “arising” every day.. I pray you will be encouraged that we stand with you as Family & Bride of Yeshua!

  2. People are falsely informed and the world populace are complacent to even care. Individuals and concerned quarters in societies are more drawn to lies. At this point, we can conclude that this irrational hatred on Israel is outright demonic. Praying with you and for you, Israel. Rejoice, HE is faithful. Amen.
