Israel Awaits the Arrival of Obama: US President Barack Obama is set to arrive today in Israel. They will likely be discussing the peace process and Iran, both issues that the two countries have had different views on. John Kerry is also in Israel and is likely to be the one putting the most pressure on Israel regarding settlement building and resuming negotiations with the Palestinians. Please pray for wisdom for all of the leaders involved in Obama’s visit. Please pray that Obama and his staff on the US side would have their eyes opened to the truth of the situation in Israel. Please also pray that the Israeli leaders would not capitulate to the world but would do what is right for Israel and just in the eyes of God. For more, see Obama Visits Israel
Israeli Sources Claim Chemical Weapons Used in Syria: Israeli sources have claimed that chemical weapons have been used in Syria, apparently. Israeli security sources say that chemical weapons were used on civilians on Tuesday. It was not clear who was responsible for the use of the chemical weapons though. This comes at a time where it was recently reported that Israel may be interested in striking Syria if there is sufficient risk of these weapons falling into hostile hands. Please pray that God would comfort and give peace to the victims of Tuesday’s attack and their families and would bring healing to the injured. Please also pray for the bloodshed in Syria to come to an end and that a just solution would be reached. Lastly, please pray that such weapons would not be deployed against Israel and that God would be Israel’s defender. For more, see Chemical Weapons Attack
Please continue to pray for the Body of Messiah in Israel as Israel is facing uncertain times; please pray we will be a great source of blessing to all Israel and that through our witness, many in Israel will come to know their Messiah. Please pray for strength, courage, gentleness, and boldness in our witness to our neighbors who do not yet know Yeshua.
Thank you for praying and standing with Israel! Shabbat Shalom…
