Major Winter Storms Hit Israel—A major winter storm hit Israel early in the week causing massive flooding in areas all around the country. High winds and flood waters caused power outages, uprooted trees, and caused damage to crops in the north. On Wednesday snow began falling in Jerusalem and other parts of the country. Due to the massive amounts of rainfall, the level of the Sea of Galilee, which is still two meters below full, rose record amounts and is to continue rising. Please pray that the rain continues to replenish desperately needed water reserved and that flooding and damage would cease. For more: Freak Storm, Snow and Deluge, Farmers Suffer
Concern over Syrian Uranium—There is growing concern that there is a great uranium stockpile in Syria, enough to make 5 atomic bombs. Nuclear experts worry that Iran will try to obtain the uranium which would allow it to enrich the uranium secretly without anyone’s knowledge. The Syrians produced the uranium before Israel bombed their clandestine nuclear facility in 2007. Experts fear that Iran will try to exploit the destabilized and chaotic situation to get its hands on the uranium. Please pray that countries act swiftly and decisively to prevent this dangerous material from falling into the wrong hands. For more: The West Fears, Concern over Uranium Stock
Please continue to pray for the Body of Messiah in Israel as Israel is facing uncertain times; please pray we will be a great source of blessing to all Israel and that through our witness, many in Israel will come to know their Messiah. Please pray for strength, courage, gentleness, and boldness in our witness to our neighbors who do not yet know Yeshua.
Thank you for praying!
