Current events 2.
As I am writing this Blog my heart is very heavy over the situation in Israel. Once again we see the Children of Israel in the midst of war, once again we need to defend ourselves. Once again we hear the sound of weeping and crying throughout the land.
The other day I spoke to someone who is very close to me. This person always believed in peace, always wanted peace and fought for peace. This person always did everything possible to live at peace with his neighbor and was always for solving the issues with talking rather than with war. The same person told me that for the first time maybe the solution for the problem is found in attacking the enemy and destroying him.
However, my reply to my friend is that our war is not against man — our war is against the forces of darkness that seek to destroy God’s plan for the children of Israel and that Land. Many look for peace in the wrong places. We look to man to bring peace. We put our hopes in people and what they say or promise. At times we look at for a fast and easy way for peace and by doing so we end up ignoring the real problem.
The reality in Israel, the Middle East and the rest of the world is that in order for us to see a real change, their needs to be at true change of peoples’ heart. A true change of heart can come only through faith in Yeshua the Messiah. Only after we have true peace with God will we have true peace with each other.
God wants to heal the Land of Israel, as He said, “…and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chr 7:14
God has always had a plan for the children of Israel. He desires them to turn back to Him and seek His face. He told them again and again that if they will do so, He will heal them.
“For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. And I will be found by you,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will restore your fortunes and will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.” Jer 29:11-14
My brothers and sisters, those of us who are the disciples of Yeshua the promised Messiah of Israel, both Jew and Gentile alike, a very important task lays before us to reach out to Israel and the rest of the world. Let us pray that the eyes and hearts of all people will turn back to God. Let us repent and seek God’s forgiveness and pray that all people will do the same.
My hope is found in God, His Word and His promises. While it is hard to watch my people go through the pain that they are going through, it is my heart’s desire that they will start looking for solutions in the right places. I am looking forward to the glorious day when God will create a new heaven and a new earth, when Jerusalem will be a center of delight and joy and not of war, and when we will not see or hear any longer the sound of weeping in Jerusalem.
“Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy. I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people, the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more.” Isa 65:17-19
Let me end with the wonderful words from a traditional Jewish song, “May He who makes peace from the heavens, make peace on us and on all of Israel and we say AMEN”.

May you be encouraged as you pour your love into the lives of those now facing such threats in Israel. Just recently we were in Israel with a group. . .and had hoped to return next year again. Perhaps. May your move to Israel become a place of great delight to the heart of the Father as you seek to bless His people and bring the knowledge of His lavish love to their agitated living! Blessings.
As a gentile, being grafted in, I appreciate this teaching… for as you say Moran, the peace we seek and pray for can only be found in the Messiah.
Throughout my journey, coming out of mans religion and into the light, I’ve prayed fervently for the peace of Israel. I know that God in His mercy is being patient with all of us, as we learn to trust in his name, to lead us into the heavenly promise land.
Malachi 3:10
Malachi chapter 3 spoke to me today. It reminded me that I must humble myself under the mighty hand of Yahweh and to believe in the name of Yahoshua for the grace to be able do His will.
Malachi 3:16
Father Abraham fell on his face (HUMBLE) ) and God spoke with him.
