Israel Set to Remember the Fallen, Followed by Celebrating Independence: At sundown on Sunday and through Monday, Israel will begin to commemorate all those who have given their lives defending Israel. This is a solemn time in which many families and friends of the fallen hold ceremonies and remember those that have been killed while serving their country. This will then be followed by a day of celebrating 65 years of Israel’s independence, beginning on Monday night through Tuesday. Please keep all those who have lost loved ones in your prayers. Pray that they would know the comfort of the Messiah and that they would find His peace as they mourn. Please also pray that God would protect all ceremonies and Independence Day celebrations from any violence or attacks. Lastly, please pray that Israel would see that it is only because of God that the nation exists and that He is their protector. For more, see Israel’s Fallen
Gas Attack on Civilians in Syria: A woman and 2 children were killed after the Syrian army deployed two gas bombs. Apparently, 16 people were also injured and reported hallucinations, vomiting and other serious symptoms. A United Nations team is in Cyprus awaiting the go ahead to investigate previous allegations of chemical weapons use. Please pray for the innocent civilians in Syria to know God’s peace even in a place that is experiencing such turmoil. Please pray that Syrian believers would stand as a refuge to those around them. Please also pray that the violence would not spread into Israel and that such unconventional weapons would not fall into the hands of those who may use them against Israel. Please continue to pray for the Body of Messiah in Israel as Israel is facing uncertain times; please pray we will be a great source of blessing to all Israel and that through our witness, many in Israel will come to know their Messiah. Please pray for strength, courage, gentleness, and boldness in our witness to our neighbors who do not yet know Yeshua.
Thank you for praying and standing with Israel! Shevuah Tov…
