Palestinian Authority PM Fayyad Resigns: Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad resigned his post on Wednesday. There had been many rifts between Fayyad and President Abbas regarding government policies. Many are concerned as they saw Fayyad as the best chance for peace and he was known to be more moderate. He often spoke out for the Palestinian Authority to take responsibility for their own problems rather than only blame Israel. Please pray for the right person to take Fayyad’s place. Please pray that it would be someone who truly has wisdom and desires peace with Israel. Lastly, please pray that the Palestinian Authority members would begin to have their eyes opened and to turn to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For more, see Palestinian PM Fayyad Resigns

UN Talks With Syria Over Chemical Weapons at an Impasse: UN talks with Syria over their chemical weapons stores are at an impasse. According to diplomats, the UN asked the Assad government for permission to investigate claims that chemical weapons were used in 3 different occasions. Apparently, the Assad government is not cooperating and blames the chemical weapons use on the rebels. The investigators are mainly concerned with whether weapons were used at all. However, both sides are pointing fingers and there is the possibility that both sides used them. Please pray for the people of Syria to be comforted by the God of peace and to turn to Him as a refuge in this time. Please also pray that Israel would be protected from the chemical weapons and rockets and that these would not fall into the hands of Israel’s enemies. Lastly, please give leaders, both Israeli and around the world, wisdom as to how to handle the situation in Syria. For more, see Syrian Chemical Weapons

Please continue to pray for the Body of Messiah in Israel as Israel is facing uncertain times; please pray we will be a great source of blessing to all Israel and that through our witness, many in Israel will come to know their Messiah.  Please pray for strength, courage, gentleness, and boldness in our witness to our neighbors who do not yet know Yeshua.

Thank you for praying and standing with Israel! Shabbat Shalom…
