God’s Land… and God’s Word

“So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God.” Rom 14:12

I am writing this blog entry with a heaviness and sadness in my heart for the direction that many who profess to be followers of the Messiah, i.e. the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are taking, and sadly will continue to take in the times ahead.

The headlines in Israel are that, once again, a Christian church denomination decided to join the BDS (Boycott, Divest, Sanction) movement and divest from companies that … “have been found to profit from the occupation of the Palestinian territories by the state of Israel. The United Church of Christ is the last denomination to do so in a vote of 508-124 with 38 abstentions.”

I was glad to see that 124 members voted against this new resolution, as it supports the purpose of this blog entry which is to encourage each of us to decide which side we are on…God’s or the World’s. I remind each of us that we will each have to give an account for everything we have done in our life.

Please note that I am by no means asserting that Israel is perfect and that it does everything right. Nor am I saying that if you love Israel, then you have to for the stances we take in life, and I personally would prefer to stand on God’s premises.

I devoted my last blog entry to the connection between God’s unconditional covenant and the connection to the Land, and in the next few blog entries, I will continue to do so. However, I feel it’s important to exhort those of us reading this, and who profess to be followers of the LORD to take our stands according to God’s living and incorruptible word!

As I wrote previously, Gen 15:7 clearly states that Israel is the sole inheritors of God’s Land:

“And He said to him, “I am the Lord who brought you out of Ur Kashedim to give you this Land to possess [inherit] it” Genesis 15:7

To use terms such as “occupied land”, “Palestinians Territories”, and even “West Bank” (which is the political term referring to the land of Judea and Samaria) is to say in simple words that God does not know what He is doing. Many will even go as far to say that God is finished with Israel and replaced her with a different “child” called the Church; in other words, because of Israel’s disobedience, God has abandoned His covenant with them. To say or teach such things amounts to heresy and false teaching, of which every person will have to give an account. To say that God changed His mind is to basically call God a liar (God forbid),that He is not true to His word, and that where grace once existed, now exists acceptance based on works alone. How absurd is this?!

My brothers and sisters, those who are followers of the one and only true God, there is only one truth… God is God, His Word is the only thing by which we are to base our stances accordingly, and each one of us will give an account. I want to encourage you to search your heart and encourage others to do the same.

I pray and hope that you will choose God’s side.

Shabbat Shalom,

Moran

  1. God did not change His mind. This is very sad. I pray for Israel and give thanks for those who stand by her.

  2. Certain Christians had trespassed G-D’s righteousness, most particularly HIS HEAVENLY attributes. HE is holy, true, mighty. The odd doctrine of Replacement Theory is a downright lie fabricated from the pit of hell. The verity of HIS word is alive and never be refuted or immuted.

Forbid L-RD that we allow us into deception and perdition. Amen

  3. This is sad. My prayers is for Israel and peace for Jerusalem.
Núm 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

    God Bless.
