This past weekend was masked by dangerous riots, stone throwing at cars and pedestrians, Molotov rockets shot at Israeli police and security forces, and attempts to attack the Jerusalem light rail. At almost every hour on Friday another incident occurred and continued on through Saturday. This “day of rage” came as a result of propagation made by Palestinian leadership as a means to disrupt the High Holy Days. It is frightening and saddening to see the heightened amount of riots and attacks in the past few weeks and even months. There is always an excuse to call for hatred and violence, but we ask you to pray with us that this cycle of violence will end. We pray for the hardened hearts of every individual who chooses to act violently rather than find truth and forgiveness. Please also pray for the Israeli government and security forces that are constantly having to decide how they will address these uprisings.
