UNHRC Israel Probe to Present Findings

On June 14 (tomorrow), the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) will hold a special meeting to hear the results of the Commission of Inquiry (COI) on Israel. The UN opened the COI in 2021 in response to the 11-day military conflict between Israel and designated terror organization Hamas, and has now published its findings, which determine that Israeli presence in Judea and Samaria is illegal according to international law.

Throughout the inquiry, the commission held public hearings and spoke with Palestinian and Israeli organizations. However, the end result of the investigation put the blame almost solely on Israel and neglected to mention numerous terrorist attacks against Israelis over the last year and a half.

The investigation dovetails with a simultaneous criminal probe into Israeli actions by the International Criminal Court established at the end of last year. Both of these investigations come as anti-Semitism is growing again around the world, as Israel’s allies are weakening, and as Iran gropes for power.

Please pray for Israel’s international standing. Please pray for strong leaders around the world who support Israel. Lastly, please continue to pray for Israel’s security and the safety of all her citizens, both Arab and Jewish.
