Ultra-Orthodox Clash with Police

Over the weekend, police cracked down on a number of illegally-run synagogues in the ultra-Orthodox communities of Jerusalem and Bnei Brak, which lead to several violent clashes. Under current lockdown restrictions, all houses of prayer must remained closed. A total of 22 illegally operated prayer houses were closed by the police in Bnei Brak, with dozens of fines handed out to local businesses and residents for violating lockdown rules. Over 40% of current coronavirus cases are within ultra-Orthodox communities, so these violations are quite serious and will affect the rate at which Israel will come out the current lockdown. Please pray for all members of Israeli society to follow the lockdown directives and do their part to lower the rate of infection. Please also pray that police will continue to hold accountable anyone who refuses to adhere to the restrictions. Lastly, please continue to pray for those sick with the coronavirus, for full and complete healing.
