Shalom from Jerusalem!
I want to thank you for being a practical source of blessing to young adult believers in Israel! It's hard to believe that the academic year is here. Students, young and old, are returning to school, even in this uncertain time. The current pandemic has not only resulted in financial instability for many students, but also in emotional uncertainty. We have found this to be the case with many of the university students in our Scholarship & Mentoring program.
In this third part of our Threefold Vision, we focus on assisting young believing men and women who have finished their compulsory military or national service, and are wondering what's next for them. In addition to awarding academic scholarships to those who choose to pursue higher education, we also advise them and prayerfully consider what their options are.
I want to share with you an email we received from a young believing Israeli who is pursuing her undergraduate degree at a local university:
"First of all, I want to thank you again for the important conversation we had last week. It is so encouraging and touching to know that there are people who simply want to support me and lift me up! Even more touching than the financial support is the spiritual support. I'm really excited for the next season of my life, and it fills me with so much peace to know that I am never alone, and that I always have someone to turn to."
I hope this touches your heart as much as it did mine; you are a part of this important work! Thank you for partnering with us to nurture & strengthen the future generation of believers in Israel! Thank you again for entrusting your offering to Hope for Israel as we join together to bring hope to the people of Israel.
