Shalom from Jerusalem,
As we enter the New Year according to the Hebrew calendar, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your steadfast partnership and investment in putting a smile of hope on the faces of many Israeli families during these times. Your unwavering support and prayers have been a source of strength and encouragement during these challenging times.
As the war in Gaza continues, a new and particularly dangerous front has intensified in Lebanon. Many of our reservists have been called to serve for the third or fourth time, leaving families, businesses, and other commitments behind. Although weary, we remain resilient and deeply committed to restoring peace and security for Israel.
Operation Hesed (Grace) extends a hand of compassion to families in need to ensure that they can also partake in the joy of the Lord’s Appointed Times (High Holy Days). Through grocery vouchers, we enable families to purchase essential food supplies. This helps them not only fill their tables but also maintain their dignity and joy during the holiday season. More than simply providing food, this gesture offers hope, emotional support, and recognition of the unique challenges facing each family.
Due to the ongoing conflict, the needs have grown more pressing than ever. As a result, this year's Operation Hesed has become our largest to date, assisting large families, single-parent households, bereaved families, lone soldiers, and families displaced from their homes. The impact of this operation is deeply felt, and the gratitude expressed by those we help is overwhelming. Testimonies of “Thank you!” and “Bless you!” continue to pour in, reflecting the importance of this initiative.
None of this would be possible without the commitment and investment of partners like you. Your support allows us to bring hope and blessings to the people of Israel during these difficult times. On behalf of the entire Hope for Israel team and the people of Israel, I want to thank you for standing with us in faithfulness, enabling us to extend Hesed to those who need it most.
As we move forward, may we continue to serve together, bringing light and hope to our nation, just as we have received so much grace from God.
