Shalom from Jerusalem!
I am personally grateful to you for partnering with us as we continue to provide a safe, nurturing space for believing youth in the Jerusalem area.
The NerYah youth group recently started up the program for the 2021-2022 academic year. In addition to the incredible team of coordinators, managed by Tigist, I am so encouraged to see the number of new 9th graders that joined this year, as well as those returning from previous years.
The group's weekly meetings are such a crucial part of these young believers' lives, because it gives them a chance to just "be" without the pressures of a culture that is often hostile to their faith. These youth come together from various congregations, representing the diverse Body of Messiah in the Jerusalem area. They enjoy good food, fellowship, prayer, worship, and a challenging teaching every week. They also have a chance to share with one another what they're facing, whether it's at school, at home, with friends, or whatever else. They know they are not alone. And that means the world!
Some youth shared with our youth group coordinators, Ro'i and Emunah, how the teachings especially impact them:
The teachings this year are the best part of NerYah for me. It used to be hard for me to connect to the messages, but this year, they're the reason that I come each week!
The teachings this year really touch my heart - they're short, practical, and give me tools I can use throughout the week.
You are a vital part of this work! Your financial and prayer support really do make a difference in the lives of these believing youth. Thank you for entrusting your offering to Hope for Israel. Your generosity plays a crucial role in us doing what we do.
