Shalom from Jerusalem!

I want to thank you for partaking in our goal to bless the people of Israel with the hope of Messiah.

All of April, Israel was in lockdown due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This was a very difficult time for the entire country, but especially for Israel's soldiers who were confined to their bases for over 30 days. Usually, most soldiers are allowed to go home for Shabbat, to refresh with their families, rest, do laundry, and get a taste of Mom's homemade food. This past month, however, that all changed; soldiers weren't allowed to leave their bases for fear of getting infected with the Coronavirus and spreading it to their fellow soldiers.

The last weekend of April, many soldiers were released for 24-hours to go home as the rate of infection lowered throughout the country. We knew we wanted to grab this opportunity to deliver morale-boosting care packages to the believing soldiers within the greater Jerusalem area. So, within 36 hours, our staff gathered goodies - both practical and fun - and packaged them in festive gift bags to hand deliver to these amazing young soldiers! I was honored to be able to deliver a few of these care packages and share some words of encouragement with our amazing soldiers.          

The soldiers were really excited and touched that we were thinking of them and wanted to tangibly bless them. The soldiers' families were also really touched by the effort!  We received numerous text messages and phone calls thanking us for the outpouring of love and support in such a challenging time.

I am so proud of the staff of Hope for Israel who rallied in a short amount of time to make this happen. And I want to thank YOU for partnering with us to bless our soldiers and remind them they're not alone, and that people all over the world remember them!

May you continue to know His abundant blessing and provision in this difficult time. Thank you again for entrusting your offering to Hope for Israel as we join together to bring the hope of Messiah to all of Israel.
