Dear Hope for Israel Family,

We want to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support, prayers, and partnership. Because of you, we are able to continue standing alongside the believing youth here in Israel even during the challenging days we are experiencing now.

In these days, amid the war with Iran, we continue with the activities of the “Ner-Yah” believing youth group while adapting our activities to the current situation. After more than two years of a complex security reality since the events of October 7th, the youth once again find themselves facing uncertainty, disrupted routines, and additional challenges alongside the natural struggles of being a teenager.

For many teenagers around the world, these years are filled with school, friendships, activities, and plans for the future. For many teenagers in Israel, these same years often include a very different reality. In recent months they have had to navigate air-raid sirens, disrupted routines, and uncertainty about everyday things such as whether school will be held regularly, how studies will continue, or when important exams will take place. These realities shape their lives in ways that are often difficult for people outside of Israel to fully understand.

In the midst of this reality, we strive to be an anchor for them, a safe place of love, a listening ear and a source of support. We seek to encourage them and remind them that even when the reality around us is not stable, our hope remains steadfast in God.

The war has also disrupted the Israeli education system, which paused and then continued with remote learning. Teenagers need routine, structure, friendships, and a supportive environment. Even in these days, when the situation is difficult, the work continues. For this reason we continue holding online meetings via Zoom, small in-person gatherings in accordance with Home Front Command guidelines, and maintaining regular contact with the youth through calls, personal messages, and ongoing encouragement.

In times like these, many teenagers naturally withdraw and focus on simply getting through the season without thinking about the future. That is why we feel called to be there for them, to remind them that by God's grace this season will pass and that their future continues to be built even today.

All of this work is made possible because of you. Your partnership allows us to be present in the lives of these young teens exactly when they need it most. Thank you from the depths of our hearts for your support, trust, and prayers. May the Lord bless you abundantly and continue to use you to bring light, hope, and faith to the younger generation in Israel.
