Shalom from Jerusalem!
Thank you for partnering with us as we continue to invest in the future generation of believers in Israel!
We just celebrated the festive holiday of Purim in Israel. While not one of God’s appointed feasts, this holiday commemorates Queen Esther’s bravery and God’s victory over the evil plot to annihilate the Jewish people in ancient Persia. It is a time of great joy in Jewish communities around the world. In Israel, youth dress up in costumes and many gather to read the Megillah (the Book of Esther) in a festive way.
It is also a holiday from school, so children get to enjoy fun activities that happen throughout the country. Our youth group coordinators planned an incredible activity for the youth during their day off from school. It was a complex scavenger hunt all around Jerusalem in the style of “The Amazing Race” television show. Not only did we provide the youth with wholesome fun for hours, but we also provided delicious refreshments to keep them fueled up for their day of fun.
One teenage girl who participated had this to say:
The youth leaders put so much thought into the activity! It was so much fun! I loved getting to know Jerusalem better and had a great time hanging out with my friends. I’m really thankful I could spend time with other believers during my school vacation.
Thank you for being an integral part of this work! Your financial and prayer support really do make a difference in the lives of these young believers. Thank you for entrusting your offering to Hope for Israel. Your generosity plays a crucial role in helping us to make a tangible impact in Israel.
