Shalom from Jerusalem,

As part of our work with young believers in Israel, we offer university scholarships to alumni of NerYah and our outreach to believing soldiers. Our students are enrolled in universities across the country and are studying a variety of different majors. Throughout the year, we present a series of lectures aimed at developing soft skills such as communication, thinking outside the box, and public speaking. Our meetings are informative and provide a platform for the students to meet, catch up, and be mutually encouraged. I would like to share with you the activities we held in the last month for our students.

On May 5th we held the third of four interactive lectures at our office in Jerusalem. All of the students who were present were happy to be there and to spend time together in fellowship. Tigist presented some fascinating and practical ways to improve public speaking ability. She explained the art of storytelling, the “elevator pitch” and more! Overall, it was a very successful meeting!

Sapir, one of the coordinators for our student projects, shared her testimony from the event:

As the coordinator of our scholarship project, it is always a huge blessing and testimony for me to see the students at our meetings and to hear from them how much they appreciate our ministry. They feel how important they are to us and feel comfortable sharing with us what they are going through during their academic studies. They also know that beyond the financial support that we provide, we are also praying for them and thinking of them.

Two other special things this month were university visits to Jerusalem and Be’er Sheva, and a free, informative Zoom meeting for prospective students. The university visits offered a more intimate platform for students to share about their studies, as well as ideas for the program. The students were touched that we made the time to visit them, and we are planning more visits like these for the future. At our Zoom meeting, we presented detailed information on scholarship applications and more, and we feel that the prospective students who participated are offered a unique opportunity through our program.

Thank you for entrusting your offering to Hope for Israel. Your partnership means a great deal to me, my team, and the many people who are blessed by the ministry’s work. We cannot underestimate the positive impact on these believing university students! May we continue to be a light and a blessing to the next generation of Israeli leaders!
