Shalom from Jerusalem!
I am happy to report that we have resumed all in-person ministry activities! While the coronavirus is not fully behind us, the Israeli government has lifted most of the restrictions it imposed for the past year and a half.
We are hosting our first in-person meeting for believing soldiers in the coming days. This will be the first time in a long time that the soldiers have gathered together for food, fellowship, and encouragement. We are also blessing them with packages filled with goodies to boost their spirits. While we have maintained this special project of delivering care packages throughout the pandemic, there's nothing quite like meeting together. It's been a really challenging year for Israel's soldiers on many levels, so I'm so pleased that we have this opportunity to shower them with some love and encouragement!
We also recently had the honor of accompanying a believing lone soldier to her enlistment ceremony. A lone soldier is a young man or woman from another country who volunteers to serve in the IDF. They leave behind their support networks, family, and friends, and choose the challenging path of learning a new language, making new friends, and adapting to a completely different culture - not to mention enlisting in a foreign military! They are truly incredible young people and we at Hope for Israel have a special heart for them.
Thank you for helping to make this crucial outreach possible! Your financial and prayer support really do make a difference in the lives of these young soldiers. Thank you for entrusting your offering to Hope for Israel. Your generosity has such a big part in us being able to do what we do.
