Shalom from Jerusalem!
Thank you for partnering with us as we continue to serve the believing youth in and around Jerusalem.
This past academic year was tough for Israeli high school students. The pandemic restrictions in Israel kept them home for months on end, separated from important family and friends. It also meant they had to study from home, spending hours upon hours on the computer in virtual classrooms. Many youth shared that they struggled with depression, loneliness, and feelings of isolation in this season.
But we were there to walk alongside them in those times. We are so grateful that we were able to continue the NerYah youth group, both virtually and in-person. The first in-person meeting after Israel lifted restrictions was a truly joyful time! We hosted numerous outdoor activities for the youth, as well as resumed our weekly meetings on Thursday evenings.
This year's end-of-year party was especially exciting, as we had the opportunity to really bless the believing youth with great food, fun games, and a special time of sharing. Many shared with us that they felt loved and cared for during this season of difficulty. It was so wonderful to see our youth dressed up, smiling, and really enjoying themselves. A particularly special moment was when the graduating seniors surprised us by praying for each one of the leaders. Then the 11th and 10th graders prayed for those who graduated and are now enlisting into the IDF. Watching one generation blessing the other was such a blessing!
Thank you for helping to make this critical project possible! Your financial and prayer support really do make a difference in the lives of these believing youth. Thank you for entrusting your offering to Hope for Israel. Your generosity has such a big part in us being able to do what we do.
