Thank You! — December 2024

Shalom from Jerusalem,

As the calendar year ends, we want to thank you once again for your faithful and generous support. Thanks to your contributions, we are now supporting 21 students in their university studies. Their fields of study include counseling, nursing, law, social work, economics, and accounting.

These students are enduring and facing the challenges of the ongoing war. Some are serving on reserve duty and have been away for a length of time from their families. This situation is difficult not only for the students themselves but also for their families and extended families. It often feels as though it’s not just the soldier who is deployed, but entire families who step in to shoulder the burden while their loved ones defend our home. We at Hope for Israel also support the families of our students.

As part of our support for the students, we also share messages of encouragement from God’s Word, along with individual verses related to their prayer requests. We often hear words of gratitude from the students we support. One student shared, "It was so encouraging for me to know that someone is thinking of us and praying for us."

A particularly touching moment was when another student, who doesn’t have a supportive home and applied for a scholarship at the last minute, expressed her heartfelt thanks for being included in our program. Despite her challenges, she found a part-time job to balance with her studies. We were deeply moved by her relief and gratitude—it was truly heartwarming to witness.

It is also a blessing to see how the students are eager to serve! As part of our scholarship program, we also ask them to serve in some capacity. They don’t view it as a burden or hardship but as a joy to give back by serving others.

Thank you, again and again, for making it possible to touch the lives of these young people! I am so grateful that you have entrusted us with the resources we need to make this program thrive. May we see brighter days soon!
