Thank You! – December 2023

Shalom from Jerusalem,

During the recent holiday of Hannukah, a holiday of light, we were honored to offer support and encouragement to our active and reserve duty believing soldiers in the field as they continue to fight the darkness and defend Israel.

Although we bring gifts to believing soldiers every year during Hannukah (and at several other times of the year), the gifts take on a special significance during times of war. My team and I delivered the packages directly to the soldiers at their homes and bases throughout Israel, enabling us to spend some time with each one and show them the extent to which we care about them. It was wonderful to see their excitement when we arrived with the packages and touching to hear them asking us to stay a little longer at the end of our visits.

We brought packages containing sweets, portable chargers, and toiletry bags to active-duty and reserve duty soldiers. Alongside the active-duty soldiers, we see the reservists and their families as incredibly important; these men and women have full lives and families and yet they leave everything behind to serve the country. Their families at home also make significant sacrifices to continue their daily lives while supporting their loved ones on the front lines.

One of the wives of a reserve-duty soldier shared with us hers and her husband’s appreciation for Hope for Israel’s continued support. She said,

“We received packages from Hope for Israel as active-duty soldiers, and even though we now have our own home and civilian jobs and we’re no longer in regular army service, HFI offered us practical and emotional support from the moment [my husband] was called up. This is something that we really appreciate and don’t take for granted. It means a lot to know that there is an organization who is ready and able to help where help is needed.”

When you support HFI, you are supporting real Israeli families like this one!

Thank you for entrusting your offering to Hope for Israel. Your partnership means a great deal to me, my team, and the many people who are blessed by the ministry’s work. May we continue to be a light and a blessing to the people of Israel during this dark and difficult time.
