Shalom from Jerusalem!

Thank you for helping to bless believing soldiers in Israel! It’s been a tough year, to say the least. Here in Israel, one population group that has been greatly affected by the pandemic is that of soldiers. Not only has the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) been called in to help with testing, help the sick who are isolated at home, and enforce the various lockdowns throughout the country, but many soldiers have been quarantined on bases for long periods of time in order to not become infected. Many soldiers could not come home for over a month at a time.

We at Hope for Israel see the importance of serving & blessing our believing soldiers, especially in this difficult time. I'd like to share with you testimonies from two young men who work with the soldiers as part of our Threefold Vision. They themselves were part of our believing soldiers' outreach during their IDF service, and it's been incredible to see them mature in the Lord as they serve others.

My name is Yaron, and I’m a university student in Jerusalem. I had the privilege of being part of the staff of Hope 4 Israel for two years. Having served in the army myself, I know how tough and challenging it can be for believers. Keeping in touch with the soldiers, praying for them and encouraging them has really been an amazing experience. You can really make a difference in the life of another person during these years! Hope 4 Israel has a tremendous platform to serve and bless our soldiers, and I'm thankful I could take part in it.

My name is Ben. I finished my army service two and half years ago and am currently a student in Jerusalem. I am really thankful for the opportunities to encourage and bless my younger brothers and sisters in Messiah during this demanding part of their lives. Now in my second year of serving with the soldiers' group, I have had opportunities to get to know soldiers on a personal level and to encourage and bless. It has not always been easy, but I pray that God will use us at the Hope for Israel soldiers’ team to build them up, in the same way that I was built up when I was a soldier myself. I pray that it will really help the soldiers to keep fighting the good fight, to stand in faith and stay strong throughout their service. It is amazing that Hope for Israel has been supporting believing soldiers in this way — it should not be taken for granted.
