Shalom from Jerusalem,
This week we are celebrating the Jewish festival of Passover, or Pesach, in Hebrew. Pesach celebrates God’s great redemption of His people Israel from slavery in Egypt and for us as believers, is also a beautiful and God-inspired image of salvation through Yeshua.
One of the most special parts of Pesach for us as an organization is Operation Hesed, a biannual project that supports Israeli families and lone soldiers in need through food vouchers. Since a festive family meal is a central part of celebrating Pesach, for those in need it can be a difficult time. This Pesach we were honored to offer support to 356 Israeli families and 5 lone soldiers!
Their words of thanks are always touching and overwhelming, and I want to extend that thank you to you, our supporters! Thank you for helping us to support our community, and to be a light to those beyond.
I would like to share the following testimonies with you from two women who received support:
With tears in her eyes, one girl told us,
“Wow, how did you know that I needed this [food voucher]? It’s just in time.”
Another sent us a message saying,
“Thank you so much! May God bless you.”
May you also be blessed as you bless Israel!
Thank you for entrusting your offering to Hope for Israel. Your partnership means a great deal to me, my team, and the many people who are blessed by the ministry’s work. May we continue to be a light and a blessing to Israel!
Chag Pesach Sameach (Happy Passover)!
