Shalom! Greetings in the new calendar year from Jerusalem!

I want to thank you for partnering with us in our work in Israel, even in the face of incredible uncertainty.  I am grateful that despite current difficulties, we can rest in His peace, knowing He is in control and nothing passes Him unnoticed.

Although Israel is in lockdown due to the COVID-19, I am grateful that we have been able to continue many of our outreaches. While Israel has forbidden group meetings in efforts to contain the spread of the Coronavirus, we have been operating on social media outlets, holding meetings on telecommunication platforms, and continuing to publish encouraging articles, blogs, and posts to help people keep their eyes focused on the Lord. Here are a few updates from our staff on the various outreaches they're managing:

Zechariah, Coordinator of NerYah Youth Group
We continue to meet every Thursday night via ZOOM with worship, a teaching, and words of encouragement for the youth. Together with our adult volunteers, we are also setting up small groups on Whatsapp where we'll be able to stay in touch with the youth more individually. We also send various links to teachings that will keep the youth in the Word throughout the week.

Efrat & Judi, Coordinators of Soldiers & Lone Soldiers
We are in daily direct contact with the soldiers who are stuck on base during this time, through text messages, praying for the soldiers, offering practical tips on surviving this time and sharing their faith with others. Many of the soldiers are feeling lonely right now, and many have told us that our constant contact has been really encouraging.

Tigist & Sapir, Coordinators of University Students & Young Adults
The students receive regular tips on how to work at home and continue their online studies, since most universities in Israel are online-only. We've received great feedback from them, expressing how helpful the tips have been! We also maintain regular contact with them individually, making sure we know of any special needs they have.

Elad, Media Coordinator
In addition to our usual social media presence, we continue to publish Moran's encouraging blogs, and highlight the good news that's happening in Israel despite the situation.

I want to also express my gratitude to those of you who have donated to our Operation Hesed project to feed Israeli families for Passover. Now is the time for the Body of Messiah to rise up and be the hands and feet of Yeshua wherever we can! May you know His abundant provision in this difficult time. Thank you again for entrusting your offering to Hope for Israel as we continue to bless Israel with the hope of Messiah!

In His Service,
