Two Injured in Second Huwara Terror Attack

In the second terror attack in the village of Huwara this month, a Palestinian terrorist shot and seriously wounded 41-year-old David Stern as he was driving through the Arab village with his wife and three children, who were miraculously uninjured. Stern, a former US Marine, fired back, wounding the terrorist, who fled. He was later located by IDF forces serving in the area. Stern and his wife, who fainted, were evacuated to a nearby Israeli hospital for treatment. The hospital reported that Stern was in stable but serious condition.

The shooting of brothers Hillel and Yagel Yaniv Z”L occurred at the same junction less than a month ago. IDF forces in the area are on high alert, both against further Palestinian terror, and against a repeat of the destructive rioting that occurred in response to the Yaniv brothers’ murder.

Please pray for a full recovery for Stern and for strength and comfort for his family. Please pray for IDF personnel as they negotiate their response to the terror attack and their policy towards Huwara, which has clearly become a hotbed for terrorist activity in the area. Lastly, please pray for a cessation of terror attacks and the Lord’s protection over Israel as the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan begins.
