Terrorist Attack in Samaria Kills Two

Sunday afternoon a terrorist shot two brothers, ages 20 and 22, at point-blank range as they were driving through Samaria, near Shechem (Nablus). Palestinians in Judea, Samaria and Gaza celebrated the murder by handing out sweets in the streets. As of this writing, IDF forces continue their search for the terrorist, who fled after the attack.

Jewish settlers protested Sunday night in Hawara, the terrorist’s village of origin, burning dozens of Palestinian homes and cars in the village, until the IDF was dispatched to disperse the violence. According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, over 100 Palestinians were injured. This kind of demonstration unfortunately undermines Israel’s moral high ground in fighting terror and also draws attention away from the tragedy itself. PM Netanyahu called on the protestors to allow the IDF to fulfill its duty rather than “taking the law into their own hands.”

Please pray for comfort and mercy for the victims’ family as they grieve. Please pray for the speedy arrest of the terrorist, and protection over Israeli security forces as they search for him. Lastly, please pray for a restoration of calm and a general de-escalation in Judea and Samaria.
