האוצר שלנו

מה אתה מחפש בחיים שלך? מה ברצונך להשיג? מה יחשב בחייך כהצלחה? אחרי מה אתה רודף?

יעקב א’:9-11 //  מתי ו’:19-34

כשאנחנו קוראים את הפסוקים האלו בשני המקורות אנחנו רואים את העיקרון שהעושר בעולם הזה הינו דבר חולף והוא כחציר ייתיבש ויאבד. אנחנו קוראים ורואים גם שישוע קורא לנו בצורה מפורשת, וכן גם יעקב בצורה עקיפה, לאצור את אוצרותינו בשמים ולא בארץ. מה הכוונה? אנחנו נקראים לשרת ולפאר את אלוהים בחיינו, זו המטרה האולטימטיבית שלנו, ולקבל שכר ממנו על עמלנו. השכר שנקבל עיקרו בשמים- המקום אליו חיינו ועיינינו נשואות.

בפסוק 24 במתי ו’ ישוע מדגיש לנו שלא נוכל לשרת שני אדונים בחיינו. לא נוכל לבקש ולעמול בעבור שכר ואוצר גשמי ובמקביל לבקש ולעמול בעבור שכר שמימי בצורה נאמנה לחלוטין. לא נוכל לעבוד בעבור אדון גשמי ואדון שמימי (אלוהים)- אדון אחד יבוא על חשבון השני.

בפסוק 25-34 במתי ו’ ישוע קורא לבטוח באלוהים ולהפנות אליו את כל דאגותינו והוא ידאג לנו. עלינו להבין שלשרת את אלוהים לא תמיד אומר לעשות מהפך קיצוני ודרמטי לעיתים זה יכול לבוא לידי ביטוי בדבר שיראה לנו פשוט אך משמעותי למלכותו כמו שרות בקהילה, בבי”הס, בעבודה וכו’. בנוסף, חשוב להבין שלשרת את אלוהים ולפאר אותו בחיינו אינו עול ומשא כבד בלבד, יש בחיים אלו גם את הפן הזה, אך יש בהם גם את השמחה והסיפוק בעיקר בהביטך בשכר העתידי שיהיה מנת חלקך.

ישוע קורא לנו לדרוש בראשונה את מלכותו וצדקתו- זה הדבר הראשון שעלינו לדרוש ולחפש! החיים שאחרי, המלכות שלו היא השכר והאוצר שיעמוד בסופו של יום. הכניסה לגן עדן ניתנת על ידי אמונה בישוע המשיח בלבד, אך אנחנו יכולים לאצור אוצרות על ידי העמל שלנו כאן עלי אדמות. אנחנו זקוקים לרוח הקודש ולהדרכה שלו בכדי לחיות חיים שמכבדים את אלוהים ודרכם נאצור אוצרות בשמים, ע”י מתנות הרוח נחייה חיים שמפארים אותו ונמלא את יעודנו.

חשוב להדגיש ולהסביר שישוע לא קורא לנו להיות חסרי כל כאן בארץ, אך חשוב שהאדון היחיד שאותו אנחנו עובדים הוא אלהים, שהשכר שבעבורו אנחנו עומלים הוא שכר שמימי ושאין אנו מבזבזים את זמננו על דברים גשמים שיחלפו עם הזמן.

Our treasure

What are you looking for in your life? What do you want to achieve? What do you consider as success? What are you pursuing?

James 1:9-11 // Matthew 6:19-34

When we read through the verses in these passages we see the principle that the riches of the world will fade away like the grass of the fields. We read and see also through Yeshua’s words in Matthew, and in an indirect way in the words of James, that we are called to lay up treasures in the heavens and not on this earth. We are called to serve and glorify God, that is our primary goal, and to receive the reward for His labor. We will receive most of our reward in heaven- the place our lives and eyes are fixed on.

In verse 24 (Matthew 6) Yeshua tells us that we cannot serve two masters in our lives. We cannot labor for an earthly reward and at the same time labor for a heavenly reward in a highly committed way. If we try to serve two masters one of them will be more important than the other.

In verses 25-34 Yeshua calls us to trust in God and lay before him all our worries for he will sustain us. We need to understand that serving God doesn’t always look like a great and big deed, it can also be something very simple but significant for the Kingdom of God like serving at school, at work, in congregation, etc. Along with that, it is important to understand that to serve God and glorify Him in our lives is not just a heavy yoke (although there is that also in this life), but there is also joy and satisfaction, as you look towards the reward you will receive in heaven.

Yeshua calls us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness- that is the first thing we are to seek and search! The coming life in His kingdom is the lasting treasure that we hold onto. The entrance to the Kingdom of God is given by faith in Yeshua, but we can store up treasures by the labor in our lives today. We need the Holy Spirit and his guidance in order to live a life that is pleasing to God and through them we can store up treasures. By walking in the gifts of the Spirit we live a life that is pleasing to God.

It is important to emphasize that Yeshua doesn’t call us to live a life with nothing, but essential that our only master would be God, and that the reward we are laboring for will be a heavenly reward, not wasting our time on earthly treasures that vanish.
