As Israel closes the fourth day of its war with Hamas, officials estimate that over 900 Israelis have been murdered, over 2,700 injured, and around 150 abducted into Gaza, including women, children and the elderly. Although the IDF has retaken the towns and settlements initially overrun by terrorists and freed the hostages held on Israeli territory, the losses are staggering and unprecedented.
The IDF now says it has the details of all the hostages being held in Gaza, but in a terrifying development, Hamas has threatened to begin executing its prisoners if Israel continues airstrikes against the Strip. The terror organization also refuses to negotiate on the hostages’ release until the end of the conflict.
Rocket fire also continued overnight and throughout the day, mainly directed at southern and central Israel. Sirens also sounded in the Galilee region.
Although the IDF has regained control of southern Israel, the chaos is beginning to spread to Israel’s other fronts. A terrorist in Samaria injured one Israeli in a shooting attack, and multiple terrorists have infiltrated Israel’s northern border, which it shares with Lebanon. The IDF has also attacked several Hizballah lookout points in southern Lebanon.
Please continue to pray for healing for the injured and for the safe return of captives. Please pray for the families of those who were killed or who are missing. Lastly, please continue to pray for protection over Israel’s security forces and civilians.
