Rosh Hashanah Project

Dear Friend of Hope for Israel,

Rosh Hashanah ProjectThe “High Holidays” are about to begin! The holiday of Rosh Hashanah kicks off this season, beginning at sundown on September 4th. Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) is a pivotal time in the Jewish calendar, where the Jewish people all over the world remember God’s faithful provision from the last year, and look forward to the “sweetness” of the next year. Families gather to celebrate over festive meals, eat apples dipped in honey, and many go to their synagogues to hear the blowing of the Shofar.

Unfortunately, many people are distracted by financial difficulties and do not even have the means to celebrate with a simple meal. For them, the upcoming year may not look so sweet and dipping apples in honey may seem a bit superficial when facing such immense challenges.

For this reason, we plan to bless over 1,000 families in need with food packages and grocery coupons in time for Rosh Hashanah. This will take the burden off many of these families during this time, allowing them to enjoy the holiday and to thank their Creator for His yearly blessings and trust Him for the time to come.

For this project to succeed, the support of brothers and sisters in the Body of Messiah is vital! Will you help us to bless others in His name? We trust in His provision through friends like you so that we can be His hand of blessing to those in need in the Land.

We appreciate your continued partnership with Hope for Israel and we pray that you will be blessed during this High Holiday season. L’shanah tovah! Happy New Year!
