Rosh Hashanah 5781

Friday evening, September 18th, marks the biblical Feast of Trumpets, which has become known as Rosh Hashanah. It is the beginning of the special season of the High Holy Days (חגים in Hebrew). Rosh Hashanah is the traditional Jewish New Year, where Jewish people all over the world recognize and celebrate God’s faithfulness to us over the past year. We also look forward to what the coming year holds for us. This year, in Israel, extended families will not be allowed to gather due to the Coronavirus. It is a difficult time, especially for grandparents, and singles who will be observing this time alone. Please keep them in your prayers, that they will feel God’s presence close to them. Please also pray for meaningful celebrations, and that we will all be able to recognize the LORD’s goodness in our lives. Lastly, please pray for protection from terror attacks during the coming days.
