Operation Protective Edge: Israel’s military campaign in Gaza to stop the surge of rockets firing into Israel has entered its 4th day. No one can estimate how long this will continue, or if the operation will last long enough to include Israeli ground troops entering Gaza. Much of it depends on how long Hamas will continue to fire rockets into Israel. So far, over 255 rockets have been fired at Israel. Miraculously, there has been only one light injury, and only damages to various structures in central and southern Israel. Tel Aviv has been under heavy fire, but the Iron Dome has intercepted all rockets fired towards the city. Jerusalem has also suffered two separate rocket attacks. Please continue to pray for Israel in this difficult time! Please intercede for protection over our Land and all of Israel’s citizens. Please also pray for God’s wisdom for our leaders – government and military – as they are continually faced with difficult decisions regarding this situation. Lastly, please pray for our enemies, that they would come from darkness to the light of Yeshua and repent for raging against the LORD and His Anointed One (Psalm 2).
Terror Attack Thwarted at Israeli Checkpoint: A Palestinian man attempted to pass an Israeli checkpoint with a makeshift bomb in his car. The soldiers manning the checkpoint acted quickly to identify the suspicious vehicle and kept the man from entering Israel to carry out his planned attack. Please continue to pray for these attempted attacks to be thwarted, especially as they are increasing during Israel’s military campaign in Gaza. Please also pray for the salvation of Israel’s enemies who are so blinded by their hatred that they are willing to do what it takes to try to destroy her.
