“Peace” Talks On Brink of Explosion: John Kerry’s latest visit to Israel brought even more frustration, as Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat said the peace talks are officially over once Israel announced further approval for settlement building. The Palestinians claim that a building freeze was a precondition for talks, but in reality, it never was, and Israel is within its legal rights to build in its territory. The frustration over these stalled talks, however, is bound to bring an explosion of violence, which is already slowly boiling under the surface. This could potentially bring a 3rd Intifada, which would wreak havoc on Israel. Please pray for Israel in this sensitive situation. Please continue to pray for wisdom for Israel’s leadership, and for them to seek the LORD for decision they need to make. Lastly, please pray for God’s sovereign protection over Israel in this time.
“Price Tag” Attacks on the Rise: The rise in extremist behavior from religious Jewish groups is concerning many in Israel, and Israel is taking active measures to prevent this extremism from growing out of control. The Price Tag movement began as a protest of the presence of Arabs in the Judea and Samaria region, but quickly grew violent as attacks began focusing on damaging property and even physical attacks. Please pray that this rise in extremism will be squelched, and that Israel will continue to prosecute such criminals. Please also pray that these radical young men will turn from their violent ways and seek other ways to peacefully protest as they feel led.
Ariel Sharon in “final hours”: Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon,85, is said to be in his final hours of life, according to Sheba Hospital’s spokesperson. Sharon has been on life-support since suffering a severe stroke in 2006. His vital organs are now failing and he will most likely pass on any day now. Please pray for his salvation in his final hours! Please pray that he will be prepared to meet the LORD and enter into the rest of the Messiah. Please also pray for his family during this difficult time.
Please continue to pray for the Body of Messiah in Israel as the days of tribulation grow closer; please pray we will be a great source of blessing to all Israel and that through our witness, many in Israel will come to know their Messiah. Please pray for strength, courage, gentleness, and boldness in our witness to our neighbors who do not yet know Yeshua.
Thank you for praying and standing with Israel!
