Shalom from Jerusalem,
As April ended, we paused as a nation to remember and to honor—marking Yom HaZikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day. We stood together to pay tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives defending our homeland. From the solemnity of remembrance, we moved into the celebration of Yom HaAtzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day—a powerful reminder of our freedom, resilience, and the enduring miracle of the Jewish people’s return to their ancestral land.
Later this month, we will observe Jerusalem Day, celebrating the reunification of our eternal capital during the Six-Day War in 1967. For the first time in nearly two thousand years, Jerusalem was fully restored to Jewish sovereignty. For our people, Jerusalem is not just a place on the map; it is the heart of our history, faith, and identity.
This year, in the shadow of ongoing war, these days carried an even deeper weight. As sirens sounded and flags were raised, we reflected not only on past sacrifices but also on the present challenges we face. Our deep roots, our bond to this land, and the fulfillment of God’s promises strengthen us as we walk through these uncertain times.
While we celebrate the miracle of Israel’s existence, we are soberly aware that the fight for our future continues. The “Swords of Iron” war presses on, calling for courage, unity, and steadfast resolve across every front.
Prayer requests for Israel
“Swords of Iron” — A Multidimensional War
Israel’s war is not confined to a single battlefield. It spans Gaza, Lebanon, Judea and Samaria, and even distant Yemen—each front revealing a different layer of the nation’s ongoing struggle for security and sovereignty. At stake is not only physical safety, but also Israel’s right to exist in peace.
In the north, Israel faces ongoing threats from Hezbollah, including repeated rocket fire and the group’s use of civilian areas in Beirut for military activity. Recent IDF strikes underscore Israel’s resolve to defend its citizens and deter terror, regardless of global criticism.
In Gaza, negotiations over hostages and ceasefire terms remain tense. Hamas has floated the possibility of releasing captives in exchange for a full Israeli withdrawal, while rejecting any disarmament. Israel continues to apply military pressure, wary of a ceasefire that could allow Hamas to regroup. The government is caught between the urgent pleas of hostage families and the strategic necessity of dismantling Hamas’ capabilities.
Meanwhile, Judea and Samaria remains volatile. The IDF is engaged in near-daily counterterror operations, aiming to disrupt terror cells and contain unrest. But incitement is widespread, and tensions remain high, with the potential for escalation always looming.
In Yemen, while Houthi rebels continue their missile and drone attacks, the U.S. has taken the lead militarily. A months-long American campaign has dismantled critical Houthi infrastructure, sharply reducing attacks on Israel. For now, Israeli officials view the threat as contained—but not eliminated—as Iran’s influence in the region continues to stoke instability.
Across all fronts—military, diplomatic, and psychological—Israel remains engaged in a multifaceted war. The enemy shifts, but the objective remains the same: to secure the safety of its people and ensure a future free from terror.
Please pray:
- Pray for God’s protection over Israeli soldiers, leaders, and civilians facing threats on multiple fronts, and for strength and endurance amid ongoing battles.
- Pray for divine wisdom for Israel’s leaders as they navigate military operations, hostage negotiations, and international pressures, making decisions that secure the nation’s future.
- Pray for the safe and complete release of all hostages, for comfort and hope for their families, and for breakthroughs that do not strengthen terrorist groups.
- Pray for the exposure and defeat of terror infrastructures in Gaza, Lebanon, Judea and Samaria, and Yemen, and for the frustration of every plan intended for harm.
- Pray for true and lasting peace over Israel’s borders and cities, for healing across communities, and for the fulfillment of God’s promises to His people and His land.
Antisemitism Around the World
As Israel recently commemorated Holocaust Memorial Day, the harsh reality of antisemitism continues to plague Jewish communities worldwide. In April 2025, several disturbing antisemitic incidents occurred, underscoring the persistent threat faced by Jews. In the United States, just before Holocaust Remembrance Day, vandals defaced posters of Holocaust survivors in a New York City gallery, targeting images of elderly survivors in a chilling act reminiscent of pre-Holocaust Europe. Additionally, in Pennsylvania, an arson attack was carried out against the residence of Jewish Governor Josh Shapiro, with the suspect expressing hatred toward the governor's support of Israel. In Australia, a former Jewish community leader's home was vandalized in Sydney, and two cars were set on fire overnight, with anti-Jewish slogans spray-painted on the vehicles. Meanwhile, in France, gunmen opened fire at a prison in Toulon-La Farlède, in what is believed to be an attack fueled by anti-prison anarchist ideology. These recent attacks serve as a sobering reminder that antisemitism remains a deeply ingrained issue, and the fight for justice and safety for Jewish communities is far from over.
International Diplomacy and Hypocrisy
In the last month, international diplomacy surrounding Israel has been marked by criticism and calls for action, particularly from the European Union. Some countries have pressed for sanctions on Israel, especially over its settlement activities in the West Bank and the ongoing situation in Gaza. The European Parliament has urged the EU to expand sanctions, while France has called for a unified European response. Additionally, the United Nations and the International Court of Justice have initiated actions addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, further intensifying international scrutiny of Israel’s policies.
Political Challenges and Division Among the People
The internal divide within Israeli society continues to deepen, with daily protests taking place across the country as thousands demand urgent action to secure the release of the hostages. Emotions are raw, and frustration is growing.
Public criticism of government decisions has intensified, particularly regarding the handling of the hostage crisis and the war in Gaza. The recent dismissal of the head of Shin Bet has further heightened tensions, with disputes surrounding government leadership and accountability. The war has not only united the nation in shared pain and purpose but also revealed deep divisions about the path forward.
Yet, amid the mounting pressure, a shared longing for justice, safety, and resolution persists. Communities across Israel continue to step up—donating supplies, supporting displaced families, and standing in solidarity with soldiers and hostage families. The strength of Israeli civil society remains a beacon of hope, as the hope endures that unity will prevail and lead the nation through this turbulent time.
Please pray:
- Pray for wisdom for Israel’s leaders as they navigate the deepening political tensions, balancing decisions related to security, hostage negotiations, and future governance, seeking God's guidance in moments of great uncertainty.
- Pray for unity within Israel, that despite the growing polarization and public unrest, the nation would come together in strength, compassion, and solidarity, recognizing the shared goal of peace and justice for all.
- Pray for the continued strength of Israeli civil society, that communities would continue to rise above divisions, offering support to one another, and standing together in solidarity with soldiers, displaced families, and all those affected by the ongoing crisis.
- Pray for strength and resolve for the nations around us—to see the truth in this war and not be afraid to stand with Israel.
- Pray for the protection of Jews around the world, amidst the rising antisemitism.
Return of the Hostages
The people of Israel remain unwavering in their fight for the release of the hostages. Their suffering continues to weigh heavily on our hearts and minds. The families of the captives are resolute, marching, speaking out, and demanding action from leaders, their voices a powerful force in the pursuit of their loved ones' return.
Negotiations are ongoing, with reports hinting at possible breakthroughs. The stories of those who have been freed continue to reveal the unimaginable horrors they endured, intensifying the urgency to bring every single hostage home.
As we recently commemorated Memorial Day and celebrated Independence Day, reflecting on the sacrifices made by so many to defend our nation, we hold on to the hope that the story of freedom will not only be one of the past, but a living, breathing miracle for those still in captivity. Let this time of remembrance lead to real and lasting freedom for all.
Please pray:
- Pray for the swift and safe release of all hostages, that every effort made to bring them home will be met with success and that their suffering may soon end.
- Pray for the families of the captives, that they may find strength, courage, and unwavering hope as they continue to demand justice and action for their loved ones.
- Pray for the ongoing negotiations, that breakthroughs may come soon and bring us closer to bringing every hostage home safely.
- Pray for the testimonies of freed hostages, that their stories would inspire urgent action and bring about the release of those still held captive.

THREEFOLD VISION FOR EMPOWERING THE FUTURE GENERATION OF BELIEVERS
NerYah Youth Group
During the intermediate days of Passover, we held a "Passover Fun Day" for the youth of NerYah. It was an amazing and enjoyable event. After we finished the activities, the youth stayed and continued to play together on their own, which made us happy and showed us how their bond was growing, even without our presence. During this time, we are reminded of how important it is for the youth to have a place where they feel they belong and are loved. Because of your prayers, the NerYah Youth Group has been able to grow into a safe and welcoming space where deep friendships and spiritual encouragement flourish. One of the young women, who had started her military recruitment process, was seeking a way to secure a good position in the army. Thank God, after a long time of trying, she finally received the position she had hoped for.
Please pray:
- In about two months, we will hold the year-end meeting at NerYah. We would appreciate prayers for the preparations for the end-of-year celebration.
- Pray for the youth, asking for protection and wisdom as they approach their plans for the summer vacation.
- Pray for wisdom for the counselors as we prepare for the boys and girls meeting scheduled for May.
Believing Soldiers
This month, we had the privilege of delivering care packages to soldiers, and throughout the process, we heard countless words of thanks. Many shared how deeply moved they were by the gesture, expressing heartfelt gratitude for the encouragement and support. It was a clear reminder that, through your prayers and God’s provision, even simple acts of kindness can speak volumes and bring hope to those on the front lines.
Please pray:
- Pray for wisdom on how to continue encouraging and supporting the soldiers, and for strength to be there for them, providing them with accurate responses to their needs.
- Pray for more volunteers who share our vision.
- Pray for the mental and spiritual well-being of the soldiers, especially during this time.
Discharged Believing Soldiers
One of the graduates who reached out to us described feelings of confusion and uncertainty after attending several open days at different universities. The multitude of options and information caused her to hesitate regarding her choice of study field. After she came to us for personal counseling for graduates, we gave her focused tasks that helped her organize the decision-making process. We integrated her into our guidance project, provided her with additional information on relevant programs, and held a tailored consultation with her for students. Additionally, we connected her with a student already studying in the field she was interested in, giving her the opportunity to ask questions and gain a clear perspective. Thanks to your prayers, we were able to walk with her through this process and offer meaningful support and direction. She expressed great joy and deep gratitude for the tools, encouragement, and guidance she received along the way.
Please pray:
- Pray for success in the support and counseling processes we provide.
- Pray for spiritual and personal guidance for each soldier being discharged from the army, as they begin their new journey in civilian life.
- Pray for inspiration and motivation for the new graduates, that they may be filled with strength and determination as they transition into this new chapter.
Student Testimonies
Over the past month, we conducted visits to the institutions where our students are studying. There was great enthusiasm from them and a desire to share their experiences of coping with the last semester, the exam period, and personal challenges. The open and personal conversations we created provided them with a space for expression and reconnection, and they were deeply appreciated. Thanks to your prayers, these visits became moments of encouragement, helping students feel seen, supported, and strengthened in their journey. We received warm feedback from them, stating that the meetings were very helpful and meaningful, both emotionally and personally.
Please pray:
- Pray for continued success in supporting the students.
- Pray for inspiration and guidance to lead positive change for the students.
- Pray for motivation and resilience in dealing with challenges, especially during this time, for the students.
- Pray for wisdom and direction for the student guidance team as we prepare for future meetings in May.
- Pray for the health and wisdom of our student coordinator, who is in the late stages of pregnancy, that she may manage everything well as she prepares for childbirth.

TOURS
One of the main objectives of our tour operation is to cover ministry overhead, so that a higher percentage of donations can go to projects. Due to the ongoing security situation, all our groups have either canceled or rescheduled for 2026, leaving the tour operation without any income for the foreseeable future. We postponed the Israel Solidarity Tour to September 2025 – registration is open! We are hopeful that we can fill this tour!
Please continue to pray:
- Pray for wisdom for Moran & Melissa as they face challenging decisions regarding the tour operations in light of the current war.
- Pray for open doors for “Footsteps of the Apostle Paul” tours to other countries of the Mediterranean region (Cyprus, Greece, Italy, etc.)
- Pray for our Solidarity Tour in September to fill up!
MINISTRY FINANCES
While God has faithfully provided for the ministry's operating costs, we ask that you pray that He will also provide for a few large ongoing projects we have in motion so that we will be able to bless more Israelis than ever before.
