Shalom from Jerusalem,
As Purim approaches, we are reminded of Esther—a story of courage, deliverance, and divine intervention. The Jewish people have faced existential threats throughout history, yet we continue to prevail against all odds. This Purim, our joy is tempered by the ongoing war and the plight of those still held hostage.
March also marks the beginning of Ramadan, a period known for heightened tensions in the region. Security forces are on high alert to prevent terror attacks and ensure stability. Historically, this time of year has seen increased attempts by extremist groups to exploit religious observances for violence. The IDF and security services remain vigilant, working tirelessly to protect civilians and maintain order.
However, just as in the days of Persia, moments of redemption shine through. Recently, more hostages have returned home, bringing relief and gratitude, even as we continue to pray for those still in captivity.
The past month has been marked by heartbreak, resilience, and decisive military operations. From the emotional return of hostages to the continued threat of Hamas's psychological warfare, Israel stands firm in its mission to protect its people. Join us in prayer for those still held captive to be set free, and for Israel to know lasting peace, and light to overcome darkness.
Prayer requests for Israel
“SWORDS OF IRON” —A MULTIDIMENSIONAL WAR
The war continues to evolve across all fronts even with multiple ceasefires. While Israel has achieved significant military successes, the threats remain complex and ever-changing. Hamas, Hezbollah, and other hostile actors persist in their efforts to challenge Israel’s sovereignty.
The ongoing struggle underscores the challenges of modern warfare—where military operations, political maneuvering, and global public perception all play critical roles. As the IDF adapts its strategies, the resilience of Israel’s citizens remains a testament to the unbreakable spirit of the nation.
Northern Front
A ceasefire is currently in place along the northern border, but Israel remains vigilant. The IDF continues to supervise the area closely and stands ready to respond to any emerging threats. Hezbollah’s buildup of weaponry and its use of civilians as human shields complicate the situation.
In early February, the IDF launched an airstrike on a Hezbollah weapons facility in Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley, underscoring the ongoing risks despite the truce. Meanwhile, intelligence reports have revealed Iran’s continued smuggling of cash and arms to Hezbollah through Beirut’s Rafik Hariri International Airport, raising concerns that the terror group is preparing for future escalations.
Gaza Front
Despite a ceasefire, Hamas continues its efforts to regroup. Intelligence reports indicate that the terror group has been rearming and recruiting, exploiting international aid shipments to strengthen its hold over Gaza.
Meanwhile, humanitarian aid continues to flow into the region, yet there are growing concerns about the misallocation of resources. The IDF remains vigilant, ensuring that Israel’s security is not compromised while maintaining the balance between military necessity and humanitarian concerns.
Judea and Samaria
Judea and Samaria remain an unstable region, with daily clashes between security forces and terror groups. The IDF has conducted numerous operations to dismantle terror cells, yet the risk of escalation remains.
A major counterterrorism raid in Tamun uncovered weapons and dismantled multiple terror cells. In Jenin, Israeli forces preemptively struck a vehicle loaded with explosives, preventing a major attack. In a particularly alarming series of events, three buses exploded due to terror attacks, while explosives were discovered on two additional buses before detonation. These incidents underscore the magnitude of the threat and the devastating attacks that were successfully thwarted by security forces. These operations highlight the ongoing threats Israel faces in the region.
Please pray:
- Pray for wisdom for Israel’s leaders and military as they navigate ongoing threats on multiple fronts, ensuring the security of communities near the Lebanon border and beyond.
- Pray for displaced civilians as they rebuild their lives in the wake of conflict, that they would find strength, provision, and restoration.
- Pray for efforts to weaken Hezbollah’s capabilities, that their access to weapons and funding would be cut off, preventing future escalations.
- Pray for the exposure and dismantling of Hamas’s ongoing terror operations in Gaza, that Israel’s security efforts would succeed and humanitarian aid would reach those in true need.
- Ask for God’s protection over Israel’s security forces in Judea and Samaria as they work to prevent attacks and dismantle terror networks amid ongoing tensions.
- Pray for peace and stability in Judea and Samaria, that terror groups would be prevented from exploiting unrest and that innocent lives would be shielded from harm.
ANTISEMITISM AROUND THE WORLD
The global surge in antisemitism shows no signs of slowing. Attacks on Jewish communities have intensified, fueled by misinformation and hostility toward Israel’s self-defense efforts.
In Sydney, Australia, a synagogue was vandalized, and multiple Jewish homes and cars were defaced with hate speech. In Rome, an eight-year-old Jewish boy was attacked on the streets. The normalization of antisemitism has also reached mainstream culture, with celebrities spreading antisemitic rhetoric and sports fans using their platforms to demonize Israel.
INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMACY AND HYPOCRISY
Israel continues to face an uphill battle on the diplomatic stage. Calls for a ceasefire from international bodies often ignore the realities on the ground, failing to acknowledge the ongoing threat posed by terror groups.
While some allies remain steadfast in their support, others apply double standards, holding Israel to expectations that no other nation facing similar threats would be expected to meet. However, amidst the diplomatic challenges, key allies such as Argentina and the United States have shown unwavering support. Recently, representatives from these countries participated in honoring the Bibas family, demonstrating their solidarity with Israel in the face of ongoing attacks. These gestures of support serve as a crucial reminder that, despite international pressure, Israel is not alone in its fight for security and justice.
Please pray:
- Pray for Israel’s leaders to navigate international pressure with wisdom and courage, securing strong alliances that uphold truth and justice in the face of global scrutiny.
- Pray for divine protection over Jewish communities worldwide as antisemitism intensifies, that they would be strengthened and find safety amid growing hostility.
- Pray for Israel’s leaders and advocates to effectively counter misinformation, clearly communicating Israel’s right to self-defense to the world.
- Ask for truth to prevail, that international hypocrisy and bias against Israel would be exposed, leading to fair treatment and an honest acknowledgment of Israel’s security challenges.
POLITICAL CHALLENGES AND DIVISION AMONG THE PEOPLE
Domestically, Israel faces growing political tensions. The ongoing war has exacerbated divisions within society, with debates over military strategy, government decisions, and the fate of the hostages fueling public discourse.
Despite these challenges, moments of unity continue to emerge. Hostage families have gathered in Tel Aviv and all over Israel, demanding decisive action. Communities rally together to support soldiers, displaced families, and those grieving unimaginable losses. The path forward demands wisdom and perseverance, but Israel’s collective resilience remains its greatest strength.
Please pray:
- Pray for Israel’s leaders to put aside personal and political differences, working together for the nation’s security and stability amid ongoing war and international pressure.
- Pray for wisdom, integrity, and humility among those in positions of authority, that they may lead with righteousness, transparency, and a commitment to Israel’s well-being.
- Ask for healing of societal divisions, that unity and mutual support would strengthen Israel’s people as they face both internal and external challenges.
- Pray for renewed hope and resilience among the people of Israel, that they would find strength and courage in the face of political uncertainty and hardship.
RETURN OF THE HOSTAGES
In recent weeks, more hostages have been freed, bringing a mix of relief and heartache. While their return is a cause for celebration, the testimonies of their suffering only underscore the horrors they endured. Families remain in limbo, hoping and praying for the safe return of their loved ones still held captive in Gaza.
Freed hostages have begun revealing the unimaginable conditions they endured—starvation, abuse, and psychological torment. The urgency of bringing the remaining captives home has never been greater.
Negotiations for further releases continue, though they are fraught with challenges. The cost of these exchanges remains a painful reality, as Israel must weigh the security risks of releasing terrorists against the moral imperative to bring its people home. As Purim approaches, the nation clings to the hope that—just as in the days of Esther—deliverance will come, and every captive will return home safely.
Please pray:
- Pray for supernatural protection over those still in captivity, that they would be shielded from harm, sustained in body and spirit, and find hope even in their suffering.
- Ask God to guide ongoing negotiations so that every hostage will be safely and swiftly returned home. Pray for wisdom in every decision made toward their release.
- Pray for the families waiting in anguish, that they would be strengthened, comforted, and not lose hope as they long for the return of their loved ones.
- Ask for discernment and courage for Israel’s leaders as they navigate the painful reality of hostage negotiations, balancing the moral urgency of rescue with national security concerns.
- Pray for the families whose loved ones did not return home alive, that they would find comfort in their grief, strength to endure, and the support of their communities as they mourn unimaginable loss.
HFI PRAYER REQUESTS
As our country continues through the phases of the ceasefire, we remain steadfast in carrying out our vision amid a tragic and costly war. Please join us in praying!
MORAN
Moran is busy in the field, devoting most of his time to the ministry's war response efforts. He continues to work in the field, arranging & delivering meals to injured soldiers and their families in the hospital five days a week, and delivering aid to anyone who is in need. He continues to gradually shift his focus to restoration as people slowly begin to return to their homes and communities in the south & north. He also continues to oversee the ministry's Israel advocacy & information project, as people must receive reliable information from Israel.
He continues to seek the Lord’s wisdom on restructuring efforts within Hope for Israel. This requires much prayer and thought, and he would be grateful for your prayers!
Please continue to pray for:

THREEFOLD VISION FOR EMPOWERING THE FUTURE GENERATION OF BELIEVERS
NerYah Youth Group
We praise God for the incredible work He is doing among the youth! He has blessed us with inspiring external speakers whose messages are making a lasting impact. As a result, the teenagers are stepping up to lead activities, and we see a beautiful unity forming among them. At the same time, new counselors are going through an amazing onboarding process at NerYah, and the youth are responding with open hearts. It is truly a joy to witness how God is moving, strengthening, and equipping this generation for His purposes!
Please pray:
- Please pray for the Purim activity—that the youth will have a great time and that it will be a meaningful experience, led with wisdom by the counselors.
- Pray for the counselor team as they come together in March, that they will grow in unity and understand the significance of their service at NerYah.
- Pray for the youth to experience success and peace during their exam period and for their driving lessons.
- Lastly, please pray for the upcoming Passover trip scheduled for April.
Believing Soldiers
Please pray for the personal connections project with soldiers, and that more opportunities will open for meaningful conversations. This month, one of the student volunteers was able to meet with a soldier he regularly connects with, which was a powerful testimony. Since soldiers often find it difficult to meet during the week and don’t always open up, we ask for God’s favor in deepening these relationships and creating more moments of trust and encouragement.
Please pray:
- Please pray for wisdom in how to continue encouraging and supporting the soldiers, as well as for strength to be present for them and provide the right answers to their needs.
- Pray for additional volunteers who share our vision and feel called to join us in this work.
- Pray for the mental and spiritual well-being of the soldiers.
Discharged Believing Soldiers
A recently discharged female soldier was deeply moved when we called to check on her well-being. She expressed her gratitude, saying, "I didn’t expect you to reach out and care so much about how I’m doing after my discharge." When we mentioned that we are waiting for the completion of her reserve duty cycle to guide and support her in the next steps, she was genuinely surprised and touched. She hadn’t expected the system to continue supporting her after her release. In that moment, she realized there is a place where she can find help at every stage of her journey. With heartfelt appreciation, she said, "Thank you for the support and guidance—it gives me so much strength to keep moving forward."
Please pray:
- Please pray for success in supporting and counseling released believing soldiers.
- Pray for spiritual guidance and personal direction in their journey.
- Pray for inspiration and motivation as they step into the path ahead.
Students Group
We reached out to students before their exams to pray for them and wish them success, asking them to update us afterward and share how they did. They were deeply touched by our words of encouragement and the care we showed before their exams. Receiving our call that morning made them feel that their success truly mattered and that someone was thinking of them, believing in them, and waiting to hear how they did. Even after the exam, our follow-up and genuine interest gave them a sense of security. They expressed their gratitude, saying, "Thank you so much for all the guidance and warmth!"
Please pray:
- Please pray for success and wisdom in supporting the students.
- Pray for inspiration and strength to lead meaningful change.
- Pray for motivation and resilience to face challenges.
OPERATION HESSED PROJECT
This Passover, as families prepare for the holiday, many in Israel face deep hardship—not only from financial struggles but also from the devastating impact of war. Families who have lost loved ones, those displaced from their homes, and soldiers on the front lines are carrying unimaginable burdens. Through Operation Hessed, we will provide grocery vouchers to bereaved families, single-parent households, lone soldiers, and others in need—ensuring they can celebrate with dignity, hope, and the knowledge that they are not alone.
Please pray for:
- Strength and wisdom for our coordinator – that they would have clarity, focus, and perseverance to manage this vital initiative effectively, from organizing logistics to distributing vouchers where they are most needed.
- Families to be blessed by this project – That those receiving support—whether bereaved families, single-parent households, or lone soldiers—would feel not only practical relief but also deep encouragement and a reminder of God’s faithfulness.
- A spirit of generosity – That hearts would be moved to give, allowing us to extend God’s love to even more families in need, bringing hope and provision during this difficult time.

TOURS
We are still working on rescheduling tours due to the war. We are happy to announce our upcoming Israel Solidarity Tour in June! Please email info@hope4israel.org for more information on this tour.
This continues to be a very challenging and, at times, stressful logistical operation. One of the main objectives of our tour operation is to cover ministry overhead so that a higher percentage of donations can go to projects.
Please pray:
- Wisdom for Moran & Melissa as they continue to face challenging decisions regarding the tour operations.
- Open doors for "Footsteps of the Apostle Paul" tours to other countries of the Mediterranean region (Cyprus, Greece, Italy, etc.)
MINISTRY FINANCES
God has faithfully provided for the ministry's operating and project costs! We ask that you pray that He will continue to do so and that we will be able to bless more Israelis than ever!
