One Hundred Days of Captivity

Today marks 100 days since Hamas’ brutal and violent attack against Israeli – and international – men, women and even children. Today also marks 100 days since the 136 hostages remaining in Hamas captivity were brutally kidnapped.

In Tel Aviv, hostage families and supporters attended a 24-hour rally in pouring rain calling on the government to bring the hostages home. Among the speakers were those who themselves were held hostage and who were released under the previous ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas just over a month ago.

Reserve-duty IDF soldiers patrolling in the area of Har Dov on the Lebanese border intercepted and engaged a squad of Hamas terrorists who infiltrated from Lebanon. Three of the terrorists were eliminated. Five Israeli soldiers were injured and evacuated for medical treatment.

Additionally, two Israelis, a mother and son, were tragically killed by a guided anti-tank missile which was fired by Hizballah towards civilian communities in the Galilee region of northern Israel.

Germany, in support for Israel, has submitted an unusual request to the ICC, asking to be considered a third party to the lawsuit. As such, Germany would be able to submit for consideration its own defense of Israel’s actions, which it says are acts of self-defense.

Please continue to pray for the release of ALL the hostages, who have now been in captivity for 100 days. Please pray for healing for soldiers injured in Gaza, by Hizballah. Lastly, please pray for continued international backing, especially in light of the lawsuit against Israel at the Hague.
