Today the roads are closing as the streets become filled with patriotic Israeli’s celebrating Jerusalem as the eternal capitol of Israel. This is also a controversial day for the Arab citizens and leftists that do not accept the status quo as is. Unfortunately there are have been several accounts of racism and anti-Arab rhetoric in past years on this day. We ask for your prayers on a number of levels. One, for the safety of the public throughout the day as people are flooding the streets and inevitably there will be traffic jams in and out of the city. Secondly, please pray for a united Jerusalem, that this great city will bring people together instead of being the center of controversy. Lastly, please pray for the peace of Jerusalem, that God’s will be done in this place as He establishes His Kingdom and brings those He desires into the family.
