Israel is entering a further restricted lockdown for at least the next two weeks. At over 8,000 new coronavirus cases per day, Israel’s contagion rate has risen to 6.8%. The number of critically ill patients has sharply risen, and ICU’s are nearing capacity. The number of children being infected has risen significantly as well. All schools will be closed and students will return to distance learning from home. In addition, people will be restricted to movement within 1 kilometer from their homes to exercise, to protest, seek medical treatment, or purchase groceries. The lockdown is expected to cost Israel’s economy a staggering three to four billion shekels. Please continue to pray for Israel!
