One day before the US Presidential election took place, I had the privilege to teach at a place called Gat Shamanim (The Garden of Gethsemane). I was sharing about the importance of accepting God’s will for our lives, and that in any situation, one needs to remember that, as followers of Messiah Yeshua, we need to die to ourselves and accept God’s will for our lives. I shared with the group (who happened to be from the USA) that regardless of the results of the elections, one needs to remember that God sits on the throne, and that in Him alone we trust.
The reality is that if Romney had been elected, many of God’s followers that voted for him would have thought that their job is done and would have most likely fallen back asleep once again. Now that president Obama was reelected, regardless of whether we agree or disagree with him, we as followers of the Messiah have to act as such. Rabbi Shaul (the Apostle Paul) writes it beautifully:
“First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, in order that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Tim 2:1-4
We have to take these words from 1 Tim very seriously, and have that heart that is described here, which is the heart of our Messiah. We need to trust God that He has allowed President Obama to be reelected. While many may disagree, be angry, disappointed etc, the fact is that he will lead America for four more years, and we are encouraged to be praying for him.
If we as believers will learn how to take our negative feelings about other people – regardless of who they may be – and instead of judging them in anger, if we would instead pray for them, I believe that we would witness a great change. Not only would the change be within the person for whom we are praying, but also within us and within those around us!
God desires that all will come to the saving knowledge of the truth; we, His followers, are His ambassadors here on this earth. Let us all reflect upon our lives and make the changes that are necessary to become better ambassadors. This world is in desperate need for God; we have the great privilege and responsibility to represent Him on this earth.
Shabbat Shalom,
Moran

Teaching topics like these always are needful. The simplicity of loving and humility seem for human, nonetheless, the Christians, insurmountable burdens. Whatever virtue the human person needs, it seem like a dagger to his own soul for our nature is contrary to anything good, we, being still subject to sin.
Thank you Bro Moran. As I said, these topics for living are always timely to the listener. Christ Jesus richly bless you and your family and flocks. (:
