You may have read about David’s Sling this past week when 2 missiles from the Syrian army that were headed towards Israel triggered 2 David’s Sling intercepter missiles.

As it turned out, the Syrian missiles never even reached Israel’s border. Normally when this happens, the Intercepter missiles are supposed to self destruct. However, this week was the first time the David’s Sling has had to be used since its installation just over a year ago. One of the intercepter missiles self destructed, but the other is believed to have landed somewhere in Syria without self destructing.

The current concern is that the Syrian regime will find the intercepter missile and use it to find out how the system works. As this system is important to ensuring protection along Israel’s borders, please join us in praying that the Syrian regime will not be successful in learning how David’s Sling works.

Along with concerns regarding the missile that landed in Syria without self destructing, Israel has also had to shoot down a Syrian fighter jet that crossed into Israeli airspace after numerous warnings to the pilots in numerous languages. Please pray that Israel will continue to be effective in discouraging the Syrian regime from crossing over into Israeli territory or shooting missiles towards Israel’s border with Syria.
