Israeli government officials approved a stringent lockdown starting Friday, Sept. 25th. The entire private sector will be forced to close, which Finance Minister Israel Katz strongly opposes. Such a move will cost the Israeli economy close to an estimated NIS 35 billion (over $10 billion). This stresses an already stressed economy, and will bring further hardship to many struggling families.
