Four Dead in Shooting Attack in Samaria

Tuesday evening, two Palestinian terrorists opened fire at a gas station near to the Israeli settlement of Eli, killing four Israelis and wounding four more. An armed civilian neutralized one of the terrorists at the scene of the attack, and the second was shot several hours later by security forces during a manhunt. Hamas, who claimed responsibility for the deadly attack, said that it was a reprisal for the Jenin raid a day before, during which seven IDF soldiers were injured by a roadside explosive.

The wounded were evacuated to the hospital after receiving first aid at the scene of the attack. One of the victims is in serious but stable condition, and the other three are in light or moderate condition. Two of the four murdered were laid to rest Tuesday evening, while the other two funerals will take place Wednesday morning.

This attack is the latest in a series of shooting attacks in Judea and Samaria over the last months. In order to restore deterrence, many MKs are calling for serious military action against strongholds of Palestinian terrorism like Jenin.

Please pray for healing for the injured and comfort for the grieving families. Please pray for wisdom for security forces and leaders in countering the growing threat of terrorism in Judea and Samaria. Lastly, please continue to pray for protection over soldiers and civilians in the area.
