Israel continues to destroy Hamas targets as they expand and strengthen their hold on the northern Gaza Strip. Overnight Thursday, an elite unite of the Israeli navy in coordination with ground forces took over Gaza City’s harbor which has been used by Hamas as a military training base and staging ground for naval terror attacks.
Israel destroyed overnight the Gaza home of Hamas’ leader (who currently resides in Qatar), Ismail Haniyeh. The IDF also continues to publish raw materials from its ground operations including in part of Shifa Hospital yesterday. The video content shows the extensive weapons stores which Hamas had placed in the hospital.
Some information continues to circulate regarding the 239 hostages remaining in Hamas captivity in Gaza. Although negotiations to free some hostages in return for a brief ceasefire appear to be ongoing, reports also say that US and European governments believe that Israel will be able to free the hostages during its military campaign.
A most serious terror attack occurred this morning, during which six Israelis were shot, one critically. The three terrorists, residents of Hebron, opened fire while waiting at a check post to enter Jerusalem. They were all neutralized on site.
The UN Security Council passed a resolution calling for both an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza and the unconditional release of all the hostages. Controversially, the US abstained from voting and did not veto the resolution, which did not condemn Hamas. Meanwhile, the British Parliament voted against a motion to call for ceasefire in Gaza.
Please pray for continued operational success for Israeli forces and that the God of Israel would continue to fight for and through Israel. Please pray for continued protection over Israeli soldiers, security and medical teams, and civilians. Lastly, please pray for the immediate release of all the hostages!
