Day 90 – Hizballah Leader Threatens Israel

Hizballah leader Hassan Nasrallah responded to the assassination of a senior Hamas operative yesterday, calling it a “crime” and saying that Hizballah “won’t be silent.” As usual, he didn’t issue a direct threat against Israel except if Israel initiates a war, leading many to conclude that Hizballah isn’t interested in full-blown war now. However, it is important to remember that Israeli intelligence was convinced that Hamas wasn’t interested in war either, just before October 7th.

Amos Hochstein, Biden’s special envoy to the Middle East, is set to arrive in Israel tomorrow to discuss implementing a demilitarized zone in Lebanon, likely among other topics.

Israeli forces destroyed a massive tunnel discovered weeks ago under the al-Shifa Hospital complex in Gaza City. Amazingly, the IDF was able to disable the tunnel without disrupting the hospital’s lifesaving operations above ground or causing damage to the complex.

On Israel’s southern front, 12 nations issued a joint call on the Houthis to end attacks against international shipping in the Red Sea area, saying that the group will “bear the consequences” if they continue attacking vessels in the area.

Please continue to pray for de-escalation on Israel’s northern and southern fronts. Please pray for continued operational advances for the IDF in Gaza. Lastly, please pray for protection over Israeli soldiers and civilians throughout the nation.
