Day 69 – Two Hostages Murdered in Captivity

Tragically, two additional men who have been classified as “missing” since October 7th were verified to have been murdered by Hamas in captivity. Tal Chaimi was a member of a kibbutz in southern Israel and is survived by his wife and three children. Joshua Mollel was an agricultural intern from Tanzania studying at a different kibbutz. Hamas is currently holding both their bodies.

This afternoon, around 70 Hamas terrorists surrendered to IDF forces simultaneously, exiting a hospital in the Gaza Strip which had been used for terrorist purposes and laying down their weapons. They were transferred to Israeli intelligence forces for questioning.

Today, US forces shot down an additional drone apparently launched by the Houthis. Recent reports indicate that the US is in discussions with allies to establish an international task force to ensure safety for shipping in the area. Iran appeared to issue a veiled threat following the report.

Sirens sounded in Kiryat Shmona in northern Israel Thursday afternoon in response to continued rocket fire from Lebanon.

A planned terror attack against Israeli and Jewish targets was stopped in Denmark and 4 suspects arrested. The Danish police promised additional vigilance in Jewish areas going forward.

Additionally, Switzerland’s parliament voted today to end monetary aid to UNRWA, the UN’s agency for the support of Palestinian refugees. UNRWA is known for ignoring, if not taking part in, Hamas’ brainwashing of Gazan children as well as their manipulation and abuse of civilian assets. Israel’s foreign minister thanked Switzerland for their decision.

Please pray for comfort for the families of the two murdered men. Please pray for a solution to the Houthis’ aggression in the Red Sea. Lastly, please continue to pray for protection over Israeli soldiers and civilians.
