In a joint IDF and ISA activity based on precise intelligence, the Israeli military carried out a strike in an area where two senior Hamas terrorists and additional terrorists hid among civilians. The intended target was Mohammad Deif, a top leader of Hamas, in a strike in southern Gaza, but it’s unclear if he was killed. The second terrorist targeted was confirmed killed – Rafa Salam. He was a high-level commander in the terrorist organization. The IDF had strong intelligence about Deif’s presence at the compound and waited for confirmation that no hostages were there before striking. Hamas-run medical sources in Gaza reported 79 deaths from the strike, most of whom were militants.
