The northern sector is heating up, and today, the Hezbollah organization attacked Israel with 60 rockets and missiles. Some of the rockets were intercepted, no one was injured, and only minor damage was caused. Most of the rockets were aimed at Mount Meron, where a military base is located, while anti-tank missiles were simultaneously fired at the Kiryat Shmona area. Sirens were also heard in additional areas. The sounds of explosions were heard throughout Galilee and even in Tiberias.
According to the Hezbollah organization, the extensive attack came in response to the assassination of a senior field commander in the terrorist organization who was responsible for planning and carrying out numerous terror attacks against the Israeli home front during the fighting. As part of his role, he worked on promoting various schemes against the Israeli home front and previously served as the commander of Hezbollah’s coastal sector.
The assassination of the senior official came after Hezbollah’s attack with an anti-tank missile fired during Independence Day at Kibbutz Adamit, resulting in the death of an Israeli citizen and soldiers being light to moderately injured.
Please pray for the speedy recovery of the injured and for the family of the Israeli casualty for comfort in their time of mourning.
Please pray for the protection of the residents of the north who remained and did not evacuate.
Please pray for a near resolution to the impossible situation in which the residents of the north—both those who evacuated and those who stayed—are finding themselves.
