Currently there is a debate in the British government as to whether or not to give a symbolic vote recognizing Palestine as a state. Britain does not classify Palestine as a state and this vote will not change the diplomatic stance, but it does come soon after Sweden’s official recognition of Palestine as a state. This symbolic vote is a way to gauge where Europe stands as Palestinians seek unilateral recognition by U.N. member states. Please pray for wisdom for the British government, that they will stand will God’s word and direction during political upheaval. Pray that God will speak to these leaders and give guidance and direction as they make important decisions on behalf of their country.
