Sunday evening, an Arab Israeli drove his car into two young soldiers and proceeded to get out of his car and stab three other people before he was captured and arrested. The attack happened in a central Israeli town called Gan Shmuel. The victims were two soldiers, 19 and 20-years old, as well as a 15-year old and a 45-year old man. All suffered light to critical wounds and are being treated at the hospital. Please keep them in your prayers for full recovery, especially the 19-year old female soldier who remains stable but in critical condition.
Monday morning, an attempted stabbing thwarted at Lion’s Gate in Jerusalem. The attacker was shot immediately after and the protective vest of the officer prevented any wounds. Police commissioner announced that 1,000 more highly-trained officers are to be called up to Jerusalem to assist police in addressing the ongoing violence. It is reported that more than 300 Palestinians have been arrested from the beginning of the unrest and nearly 70 officers wounded. Please be praying for the police and security forces, they are on the front lines working hard and risking their lives to protect innocent civilians and rid the city and country of crime.
Monday afternoon around 2:15 there was another stabbing attack at Ammunition Hill in East Jerusalem. The attacker was a young Palestinian woman who injured a border police officer after he called on her stop for questioning because she was acting suspiciously. When she neared him she pulled out a knife and stabbed him. The officer shot her in defense and both were sent to the hospital for wounds.
Less than an hour later news of a third stabbing of the day in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Pisgat Ze’ev. One terrorist was neutralized and another suspect was arrested after attempting to flee the scene. Two people were seriously injured, a 25-year-old and a 13-year-old.
