Shalom from Jerusalem,
October will be a significant and emotional month for the people of Israel. On October 7, we will mark three years since the horrific massacre that changed our country and the lives of so many families forever. Three years have passed, but for those who lost loved ones, for survivors, for wounded soldiers and civilians, for communities that were devastated, and for countless Israelis still carrying the physical and emotional consequences of that day and the war that followed, October 7 is not simply a date on the calendar.
Throughout Israel, we will once again remember those who were murdered on October 7, the soldiers and security personnel who fell defending our people, and those who have lost their lives in the years of war that followed. We will remember families whose lives changed in a single morning and communities that have spent the past three years rebuilding what was destroyed. As a nation, we have moved forward in many ways, but there are wounds that remain very real.
Only three weeks later, on October 27, Israelis will go to the polls for national elections. The election comes after years that have tested our country through war, loss, internal division, economic pressure, and difficult questions about Israel's future. Political disagreements are already strong, and as election day approaches, those divisions can easily become even deeper.
This month, we invite you to pray with us for Israel. Pray for those who continue to live each day with the painful memories and consequences of October 7. Pray for the families who continue to grieve, for the wounded and those still recovering, for our soldiers and their families, and for the communities that continue rebuilding their lives. Pray also for the people of Israel as we vote, that there would be wisdom and discernment, that the election process would be conducted with integrity, and that political differences would not cause us to forget our responsibility toward one another.
Please pray that everything our people have experienced during these past three years would cause hearts to turn to the one and only true God. Our greatest need is not political, military, or economic. Our greatest need is to know Him, seek Him, and recognize that our hope and salvation are found in Him.
PRAYER REQUESTS FOR ISRAEL
OCTOBER 7 - THREE YEARS LATER
As we mark three years since October 7, we remember that behind every number is a person, a family, and a story that continues today. We want to remember those we lost while praying for those who continue to carry the consequences of that day and the years of war that followed.
Please pray:
- Pray for the families of those who were murdered on October 7 and for the families of the soldiers and security personnel who have fallen since then. Ask God to comfort and strengthen them as they continue living with the absence of those they love.
- Pray for the survivors of October 7 and for those who continue carrying painful memories of what they witnessed and experienced. Pray that they would receive the support, care, and healing they need.
- Pray for wounded soldiers and civilians who continue through long processes of physical and emotional recovery, and for their families who walk through that recovery alongside them.
- Pray for soldiers and reservists who continue carrying the weight of what they have experienced during these years of war, and for their spouses, children, parents, and families who have carried these burdens with them.
- Pray for children and young people whose lives have been shaped by war, loss, displacement, and prolonged uncertainty during these past three years.
- Pray for the communities that were devastated on October 7 and for communities throughout Israel that continue rebuilding. Pray that families would have the strength, encouragement, and resources they need as they restore their homes and their lives.
- Pray for God’s protection over Israel and for our soldiers, reservists, police officers, security personnel, and first responders serving throughout the country and on every front. Ask God to protect them, strengthen them, and give them wisdom and discernment as they defend the people of Israel.
- Pray that terrorist attacks and plans against Israel would be exposed and prevented, and for wisdom and discernment for Israel’s military and security leadership as they respond to the threats facing our country.
- Pray for innocent civilians throughout the region who continue to suffer because of war and terrorism, including innocent civilians in Lebanon, Gaza, and elsewhere. Pray for greater peace and stability for Israel and its neighbors.
- Pray that grief, anger, and the painful memories of these past three years would not harden the hearts of our people, but that in their pain they would seek the one and only true God.
- Pray that Israelis searching for answers, comfort, and hope would turn to God’s Word and come to recognize Yeshua as their Messiah.
ISRAEL’S NATIONAL ELECTIONS
On October 27, Israelis will go to the polls to elect the next Knesset. After three difficult years for our country, the election comes at a significant time for Israel. Political disagreements are strong, and the weeks leading up to the election will bring intense debate over Israel’s security, economy, leadership, and future.
Whatever our individual political views may be, our prayer is that Israelis will approach this election with wisdom and discernment, and that the disagreements between us will not deepen the divisions that already exist within our society.
Please pray:
- Pray that God would raise up God-fearing leaders who seek Him for wisdom and discernment, lead with integrity, and understand the responsibility entrusted to them to serve the people of Israel.
- Pray for the people of Israel as they prepare to vote on October 27. Ask God to give our people wisdom and discernment as they consider the choices before them.
- Pray for an election process that is conducted with integrity, fairness, and respect for the democratic process.
- Pray that political disagreements will not lead to greater hatred and division among Israelis, and that we will remember our responsibility toward one another even when we strongly disagree.
- Pray for families, friendships, congregations, and communities where political differences have caused tension or division, that people would speak to one another with respect and refuse to allow politics to separate them.
- Pray that those who are elected to serve will seek wisdom, act with integrity, and understand the responsibility entrusted to them as they make decisions that affect the people of Israel.
- Pray for wisdom and discernment for those entrusted with responsibility for Israel’s security and national leadership during the election period and throughout the transition that follows.
- Pray that the people of Israel would understand that no government or political leader can take the place of God. Pray that our people would seek the one and only true God and place their ultimate hope and trust in Him.
ANTISEMITISM WORLDWIDE
Antisemitism continues to affect Jewish communities around the world, while Israelis abroad are increasingly facing hostility simply because they are Israeli. As the world marks three years since October 7, we are especially mindful of Jewish communities and Israelis who may face increased hostility, intimidation, or hatred as they remember those who were murdered and stand publicly with Israel.
Please pray:
- Pray for God’s protection over Jewish communities around the world and for Israelis living or traveling abroad, especially during events and gatherings marking the anniversary of October 7.
- Pray for the protection of synagogues, Jewish schools, community centers, memorial gatherings, and other Jewish institutions, and for wisdom for those responsible for their security.
- Pray for Jewish people and Israelis who face hatred, harassment, or intimidation because of their identity, that they would have courage and wisdom and would not be afraid to openly identify as Jewish or Israeli.
- Pray that governments and authorities would take antisemitic threats and violence seriously and act to protect Jewish communities and Israelis.
- Pray that lies, misinformation, and hatred directed toward Israel and the Jewish people would be exposed, and that people would be willing to seek the truth rather than simply accept what they hear or see online.
- Pray that believers around the world would recognize antisemitism and refuse to remain silent when Jewish people are threatened or targeted. Pray that they would stand firmly for biblical truth and demonstrate genuine love toward the Jewish people.
- Pray that Jewish people throughout the world would seek the God of Israel and come to recognize Yeshua as their Messiah.
HFI PRAYER REQUESTS
October will be another active month for Hope for Israel as we continue serving people and communities throughout the land. As Israel marks three years since October 7, Moran will spend time with families who continue carrying the heavy loss and scars of that day and the war that followed. Many have lost sons, daughters, husbands, wives, parents, siblings, and close friends, while others continue walking through the long process of physical and emotional recovery. During the second half of October, Moran will travel to Greece, where he will host and lead a group. This will be an important time of teaching, fellowship, and ministry as he guides the group through places connected to the biblical account and helps participants deepen their understanding of Scripture. Please pray for strength and good health throughout the trip, for wisdom as he teaches and leads, and for meaningful opportunities to encourage those traveling with him.

THREEFOLD VISION FOR EMPOWERING THE FUTURE GENERATION OF BELIEVERS
NerYah - Believing Youth Group
Our regular meeting place is currently unusable after severe flooding caused significant damage to the space. This location has been an important place for our NerYah Believing Youth, as well as our Believing Soldiers and student groups, to gather for fellowship, discipleship, activities, and time together. We are currently seeking an alternative location where these ministries can continue meeting.
Our team is also preparing for the new NerYah Believing Youth activity year, which will begin in January, while looking for additional mentors who have a heart to invest in and disciple the next generation of believers.
Please pray:
- Pray that God would provide the right alternative meeting place for our NerYah Believing Youth, Believing Soldiers, and student groups, and that we would have wisdom as we consider the options available to us.
- Pray that God would bring the right mentors to serve with our NerYah Believing Youth, people who love the Lord, have a genuine heart for young people, and are willing to faithfully invest in their lives.
- Pray for wisdom, strength, and unity for our team as they prepare for the new NerYah Believing Youth activity year beginning in January.
- Pray that the Lord would guide every part of the planning and preparation and give our leaders wisdom concerning the needs of the young people entrusted to them.
- Pray that our NerYah Believing Youth would know that they are loved and that they belong, and that the relationships they build with other young believers would strengthen and encourage them.
- Pray that through the teaching, discipleship, activities, and relationships within NerYah Believing Youth, these young people would continue growing in their relationship with the Lord and be equipped to stand firm in their faith.
Believing Soldiers
Our Believing Soldiers continue to face demanding periods of service, often moving between intense military responsibilities and the very different realities of home, family, and everyday life. Through this ministry, we want to continue walking alongside them, strengthening them in their faith, and providing a community where they can be encouraged by other believers who understand many of the challenges they face.
Please pray:
- Pray for Believing Soldiers who are dealing with exhaustion and burnout. Ask God to renew their physical, emotional, and spiritual strength and surround them with people who will encourage and support them.
- Pray for unity, trust, and mutual respect between soldiers and their commanders, especially during periods of heavy workloads, exhaustion, and stress. Pray that they would have wisdom and patience in the way they communicate with and respond to one another.
- Pray for soldiers who have witnessed or experienced difficult things during their service. Ask God to bring healing to their hearts and minds and provide the right people to help them process what they have been through. Pray that these experiences would not prevent them from experiencing healthy relationships, rest, joy, and hope.
- Pray for soldiers returning home after days or weeks of intense activity and stress. Ask God to help them transition from the intensity of military service back into family life and their regular routines, and that their homes would be places of rest, safety, love, and renewal.
- Pray that our Believing Soldiers would remain close to the Lord wherever they are serving and that the pressures and demands of military service would not draw them away from their relationship with Him.
- Pray for wisdom and sensitivity for our Believing Soldiers team as they disciple, encourage, and support these young men and women throughout their military service.
Believing University Students/Discharged Soldiers
Our believing university students are navigating demanding academic schedules while also making important decisions about their studies and future. At the same time, recently discharged soldiers are adjusting to civilian life as they begin considering studies, careers, and the direction they want their lives to take. Through our Growing Together ministry, we continue providing fellowship, discipleship, and encouragement during this important season.
Please pray:
- Pray for students dealing with heavy workloads and exhaustion throughout the semester. Ask God to give them strength and wisdom as they manage classes, assignments, and other responsibilities, and help them establish healthy priorities and make time for needed rest.
- Pray for students making decisions about their future, including their field of study, specialization, and career. Ask God to give them wisdom, clarity, and direction as they consider the path ahead.
- Pray for students who struggle with insecurity or fear that they will not succeed. Pray that they would not define their worth by grades, achievements, or failures, but would remember who they are in the Lord.
- Pray for recently discharged soldiers as they adjust from the structure and demands of military service to civilian life. Ask God to help them establish a healthy routine and give them a renewed sense of purpose and direction.
- Pray for discharged soldiers who are uncertain about what comes next. Ask God to guide them as they make decisions concerning studies, careers, travel, and other important choices about their future.
- Pray that our believing students and discharged soldiers would remain close to the Lord during this season and continue growing in their relationship with Him.
- Pray for wisdom and discernment for our Growing Together team as they disciple, encourage, and walk alongside believing students and discharged soldiers.
MEDIA MINISTRY
Through our media ministry, we continue producing articles, videos, social media content, Israel updates, and other resources to help believers around the world understand what is happening in Israel and what God’s Word teaches concerning His continuing plans and purposes for His people. With so much misinformation and hostility toward Israel being shared online, we want everything we communicate to be accurate, responsible, and firmly grounded in biblical truth.
We are also continuing the development of Hope for Israel’s new website, which will help us better communicate the work of the ministry and provide resources to people around the world.
Please pray:
- Pray for wisdom and discernment for our media team as they determine what issues need to be addressed and how to communicate them clearly and accurately.
- Pray that everything we publish would be truthful, responsible, and communicated with both courage and grace.
- Pray that believers around the world would be willing to look beyond headlines and misinformation and seek to understand the facts as well as what God’s Word teaches concerning Israel.
- Pray that God would raise up believers who are willing to stand for biblical truth and speak with courage within their congregations, communities, and areas of influence.
- Pray that God would provide the right person to join our media ministry and strengthen our ability to produce and share content across our different platforms.
- Pray for wisdom, strength, and protection for everyone serving in the media ministry and for their families.
- Pray for the continued development and successful launch of our new website, and that it would become an effective tool for sharing biblical truth, communicating the work of Hope for Israel, and reaching people around the world.
MINISTRY FINANCES
We are grateful for God’s faithful provision through those who pray for and financially support Hope for Israel. As the ministry continues to grow and new opportunities to serve arise, we want to be faithful with every resource the Lord entrusts to us and use it wisely for the work He has called us to do.
The needs before us remain significant, from investing in the next generation of believers and helping families and communities throughout Israel to developing our media ministry, restoration projects, and the daily work required to carry out these ministries.
Please pray:
- Pray for God’s continued financial provision for Hope for Israel and for each of the ministries and projects He has entrusted to us.
- Pray for wisdom and discernment as we make financial decisions and determine how to best use the resources entrusted to us.

COMMUNITY RESTORATION INITIATIVE
Hope for Israel continues standing alongside families and communities as they rebuild their homes and their lives. Through Operation Restoration and Operation Doors of Hope, we are providing practical assistance to communities that have endured years of displacement, destruction, and uncertainty.
Through Operation Doors of Hope, we were asked to provide 253 security doors for families in Nahal Oz. We are grateful for the provision that has already allowed this project to move forward, and only 57 doors remain to complete the full request.
Through Operation Restoration, we continue helping families from northern Israel as they rebuild their lives and move forward after a long period of displacement. Our desire through both projects is not simply to meet a practical need, but to stand alongside these families and remind them that they have not been forgotten.
Please pray:
- Pray for God’s provision for the remaining 57 security doors needed to complete Operation Doors of Hope in Nahal Oz.
- Pray for the families receiving these doors, that having greater security in their homes would help them feel safer as they continue rebuilding their lives.
- Pray for continued provision for Operation Restoration and for the families from northern Israel whom we are serving through this project.
- Pray for families who are rebuilding their homes and lives after long periods of displacement, that God would give them strength, encouragement, and hope as they move forward.
- Pray for wisdom and discernment for our team as we work with local leaders and families and determine where assistance is most needed.
- Pray for protection, wisdom, and strength for everyone involved in carrying out these projects and coordinating the many practical details required.
- Pray that through this practical assistance, families would experience genuine care and encouragement and that the Lord would open opportunities for us to continue serving them.
Tours
Our tours give participants the opportunity to experience the lands of the Bible, deepen their understanding of Scripture, and connect what they read in God’s Word with the places where many of these events took place.
During the second half of October, we will host a group in Greece, visiting places connected to the journeys of Paul and the early believers. We pray that this will be much more than simply visiting biblical sites, but that what participants see, learn, and experience will deepen their understanding of God’s Word and strengthen their walk with the Lord.
We are also continuing preparations for our Israel Solidarity Tour in December 2026 and our Experience Israel Tour in April 2027. These tours provide an opportunity not only to experience the land of the Bible, but also to meet Israelis, visit communities, and see firsthand some of the ministry work taking place throughout the land.
Please pray:
- Pray for the group traveling through Greece in October, for safety and good health throughout the journey and for wisdom in every logistical detail.
- Pray that the teaching and time spent at biblical sites would deepen participants’ understanding of Scripture and strengthen their relationship with the Lord.
- Pray for meaningful fellowship and unity among those traveling together and for opportunities to encourage and strengthen one another.
- Pray for wisdom and God’s guidance as we continue preparing for the Israel Solidarity Tour, December 10–21, 2026, and the Experience Israel Tour, April 7–18, 2027.
- Pray that God would bring the right participants for each upcoming Israel tour and remove obstacles that may prevent people from coming.
- Pray that those who come to Israel would leave with a deeper understanding of God’s Word, His promises, and the people and land of Israel.
- Pray that each of our tours would be an effective part of the ministry God has entrusted to Hope for Israel and would bear lasting fruit in the lives of those who participate.
Thank you for faithfully standing with the people of Israel and with Hope for Israel through your prayers and partnership. We are deeply grateful to know that believers around the world continue to pray for us, encourage us, and stand with the work the Lord has entrusted to us.
Your prayers are an important part of everything we do, from investing in the next generation of believers to serving families and communities throughout the land and sharing biblical truth about Israel around the world.
May the Lord richly bless you and your family as together we continue serving Him and seeking His purposes for Israel.
IN HIS SERVICE,
THE HOPE FOR ISRAEL PRAYER TEAM
